Now onto the real stuff.

The Campaign.

A time-spanning, generation-spanning narrative, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 introduces players to an insidious villain named Raul Menendez who hijacks the US military infrastructure to further his own agenda. Harness the power of near-future technology and advanced robotics to pull the world back from the brink of annihilation.

New features to the single player campaign.

• Branching storyline, paths and missions that will affect the overall game's ending, you failed a character or a mission in the story, you will not get the best ending.
• Strike force operations - tying in the branching story and the overall sandbox nature of the campaign comes SFO, letting the player choose which mission to play and who to play within it, you will be able to swap characters in-game, control drones...etc and according to Treyarch, SFO missions will have "very meaningful influence of how the story progresses.
• Create-a-class in single-player, enough said!

Online Multiplayer changes.

• RIP traditional create-a-class, "pick 10" is the new feature to creating your loadout, you pick any 10 items at your disposal freely , you don't like to carry a secondary weapon or grenade but you want that extra perk? the choice is yours.
• Combine that with the WILDCARD where you could choose two perks from the same class for example and you got insane combinations of loudouts.
• Scorestreaks replaces killstreaks - what does that mean? think about it like playing Street fighter and performing combos, kill someone, then get a UAV assist, then take point A in domination BAM you got a score of 800 points for example , if that's enough to afford two streaks or more, you could get them all at the same time instead of killing 10 foes to get the streak you want.
• Perks no longer affect weapons, only attachments does.
• If you Prestige Treyarch has confirmed that weapon and challenge progression do not reset.
• Shoutcasting in spectator mode - in other words, you can commentate on other people's matches with live-streaming in true eSport fashion!
• SMG damage and knife attack range reduced.
• Crossbow now shoots faster making it more of a useful weapon.
• Interactive maps, watch out for trains coming at your face!
• Recoil is being reworked for better handling of weapons.

PC minimum requirements.

• No frame-rate cap.

PC specific changes to the online multiplayer.

• No mods, No renting servers and no server files.

Will Black Ops have Matchmaking or Dedicated Servers?

Both! Black Ops II PC combines matchmaking with secure ranked dedicated servers. This means that you get into Public Matches or League Play via matchmaking lobbies. It is easy to party up and play with your friends. You can adjust your classes or scorestreaks between matches. It also means that every Public or League match is hosted on a dedicated server running in one of our high bandwidth data centers around the globe.

keeping it restricted this time around I smell major backlash from PC gamers.

Online MP game mode changes and new additions.

new to the Call of Duty franchise is multi-teams battles up to 6 teams ( in 18 players matches ) with 3 modes available at launch, gone are the days of team A vs team B only, for instance, you can play 3 vs 3 vs 3 or any combination that's available.

1. Team deathmatch.
2. Kill confirmed.
3. Hardpoint is basically king of the hill.

Party Games.

Is the new name for wager matches and it includes the same modes as the last game and for the first time the player will also gain XP from playing this mode!

• Gun Game.
• One in the chamber.
• Sharpshooter.
• Sticks and stones.

Time for the zombie mode details!

The Zombie mode returns with a bang!

Featuring three modes in total, Zombie mode will feature brand new playable characters, new zombie models and zombie types, new weapons, and the largest zombie world ever.

In addition to the new modes, the Zombie mode is built on the multiplayer engine which I'll talk about later.

1- Tranzit ( yes with a Z ).

Just like the name suggests, this mode is story driven with an open world that have 5 maps , the objective is to go kill zombies in a post then travel to the next post, you can travel from one area to the next by foot if you are a suicidal maniac and/or a bus that you travel by throughout the world , however, zombies still gonna hang on the bus and you need to defend yourself while travelling!

You can build new weapons and equipments dead-island style crafting system within the world, smash a car's door and with some crafting you can make it like a riot shield to protec yourself!

2- Survival mode.

So what if you don't like the idea of tranzit and you want to play the good old waves? you got it, survival mode is here o stay and you don't have to worry about a thing.

3- Grief.

This mode is the most interesting for me because it is a 4 vs 4 players competitive mode, there is not much info about it yet but basically two teams battling it out for survival, you can't directly attack the opposing team but ou can cause them "giref" by interacting with the environment that surrounds them.

Custom games and theatre mode.

Creating a game is going to be across all online multiplayer modes including the zombie thanks to building it on the same engine as the regular MP, that also means better matchmaking and there will be stats and leadrboards included and the introduction to create-a-class, plus theatre mode in zombie!

ELITE returns this year with all features included for FREE.

Zombies Leaderboards, All-New Call of Duty Elite TV and More.

DLC plan and Season Pass.

There will be 4 Map-Packs expected to be released in 2013 each costing $15.

Season Pass price will cost $50 ( saving $10 from actual price of all 4 map-packs ).

Black Ops 2 does seem to be moving some things forward finally. I'm fairly interested in it but it's nothing more than a Steam Winter sale to me atm.
