"We are pleased to extend our holiday titles to gamers worldwide via Steam..."
Hmm...
Dammit, now I'm pissed that I bought Mass Effect on Direct2Drive. :PTeufelhuhnlol unlucky, i just hope they can stay in a competitive mood, if there was one company to not get complacent would probably be vavle.
VALVe: Commencing domination of the gaming industry
I do hope EA's back catalogue is available. Which could mean a legitimate way of owning System Shock 1/2. Affordably.foxhound_fox
Hell yes. Same with ye olde Wing Commander games *drools*
It is about time,This is the only program i trust to run all of my games. This is a huge plus to every gamer,EA makes great games usually only available on-line on Direct2Drive or sites like that, getting them on steam will open up more options for EA,and gamers alike.VALVe you are awesome!
awesome steam owns, and no drm on steam ea games is even better now no stupid install limits. More games on steam the more the retail market will hurtimprezawrx500Technically, Steam is DRM, though it's a kind of DRM that doesn't hurt the end-user. It's cool how Valve/EA removed the third-party DRM from their games. No more SecuROM on Spore! Hooray!

It does hurt the end user, just less than any other system that could be deemed "DRM"... and most users are accepting of Steam, so this is a good thing. Steam is nice for say weekend sales of older games. Like Stalker for $5 right now, too bad I already paid $50 for it, lol.
