Steam continues its world dominance with Steam...Valve now has every major Publisher on Steam...EA was by far the largest and most important one too, given how many PC games they make.

VALVe: Commencing domination of the gaming industry

I do hope EA's back catalogue is available. Which could mean a legitimate way of owning System Shock 1/2. Affordably.

I'm glad you posted this because it prompted me to log into steam to check it out, and while there I found another great steam weekend deal of Stalker for $5 (installing it now) :D

"... are available now to gamers in North America via Steam"

"We are pleased to extend our holiday titles to gamers worldwide via Steam..."

Hmm...

Now with Maxis on their side, all Steam needs is Blizzard and Valve will pretty much dominate the PC market with steam.

It is about time,This is the only program i trust to run all of my games. This is a huge plus to every gamer,EA makes great games usually only available on-line on Direct2Drive or sites like that, getting them on steam will open up more options for EA,and gamers alike.VALVe you are awesome!

Technically, Steam is DRM, though it's a kind of DRM that doesn't hurt the end-user. It's cool how Valve/EA removed the third-party DRM from their games. No more SecuROM on Spore! Hooray!

It does hurt the end user, just less than any other system that could be deemed "DRM"... and most users are accepting of Steam, so this is a good thing. Steam is nice for say weekend sales of older games. Like Stalker for $5 right now, too bad I already paid $50 for it, lol.
