# of games in development for PS4? How many for XBone?

I know both companies announced the figures for how many games are currently in development but I can't seem to find that info anywhere. Does anyone here know? Sure, the PS4 is clearly the better machine and at a nicer price point, but what's important are games. Does PS4 have the upper hand in that regard, too?

All of those are set for release within the first 14 months or so. Of course a ton of multiplats and indie games in 2014. Numbers are nice, but its better to put devs and titles up. Shows more. At least in my opinion.

Well, it's highly disingenuous to disqualify games based on arbitrary criteria. What if Cows decided that games under 1080p don't count or Kinect-only games? I'm not getting involved with that debate. It's stupid.

You shouldn't be basing it on numbers its quality.

But are they coming for the PS4 and not X1? It doesn't matter if they are on PC when we are only comparing the PS4 and X1 and nobody said anything about exclusives. We are simply talking about how many games are coming to each console. So them being on PC is irrelevant in this discussion. But you go ahead and pretend it does matter if it helps you feel better.

Exactly. Microsoft has been doing this for some time now and with the exception of Wii Clones and arcade games, they haven't brought out a new IP since 2010 which was Alan Wake. Last one before that was a shitty racing game in 2009. Both of which are also on Steam by the way.

Launch and next year boast at least 5 new IP's. Black Tusks game, Ryse. Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive and Quantum Break.

Like the guy said above, once Windows 8 integration hits, that game count skyrockets. But even then I could care less about the number. Quality is what matters. We'll see as time passes and games are released.

What happened to the blind more AAA, AA, and A games argument? Now you want to actually dig into what that consists of? Where were you when Cows were showing charts of 360's high scoring games consisting of nothing but Halo, Gears, and Forza. Guess you didn't have this style of thinking back then. Just remember, Sony hasn't shown any of its major cards yet.

I would love to buy into two consoles this generation however Microsofts track record of game abandonment after the first four years tells me otherwise. Now why is it that some new anticipated next gen games make the Lems so easy to forget?

Yeah, but all of that is just your opinion, not fact. If you like Sony's offering more you should buy a PS4. But don't get mad cause tons of people do like Halo/Gears/Forza as well as Fable, Crackdown, Lost Odyssey, State of Decay, ect. I just don't get this whole MS invested for 4 years and then nothing crap. I didn't have enough money to buy all the games I wanted. And for all of Sony's lineup I only saw 3 games in 6 years that made me want a PS4. GT, God of War, and The Last of Us. But none of them grabbed me enough to actually buy a PS3. We can agree to disagree.

No, it means the number of games doesn't matter to me near as much as the quality of the games available and coming. Reading comprehension is your friend :)

Anyway, that list is a little bit skewed, since I doubt all of those "only on next gen" titles will remain on one console and not the other.

Even with Sony holding back on the game announcements, the PS4 still has more games. It's going to be crazy when Sony finally drops the bombs.

I'm betting Forza goes AAA, Ryse might go AAA, but I'm expecting AA.

We already know M.S. is investing 1 billion dollars in exclusives which is exactly 1 billion dollars more than Sony can afford to invest.

i never said indie games couldn't be good. I think they supplement a line-up. but a lineup of all indie games isn't good. for that matter get an OUYA. Why by a next gen system to play games that could run on a PS1? And for the record the only good game you listed there is the walking dead. and only for the story/price combo. the gameplay itself is kinda stupid
