Alright Im 400 hrs deep on 360, 160 hrs deep on PS3. PC guys I know you have this game owned, propers.

PS3 pros: much faster loads, KotN, enhanced shaders, some new in-combat graphicswhen you castspellsor use enchanted arrows(for those whithin x feet effects). Ive foundan especiallynotable gameplay difference, when you get your speed up real high like 160+ 360 chugs and chugs andloads and freezesa WHOLE LOT more than PS3; IMO Olbivion's 4.6 GB usage of PS3'sstandard HDD is a big reason why Oblivion runs and plays much better on PS3.

Its GOTY, whos got the better version today?

Why would you play both versions? I have it for my PC and that was fine. I'm not going to buy any other version. I doubt that most people posting here have either.

PS3 version has no Shivering Isles available yet, therefore the 360 version is better. But once the GOTY edition comes, PS3 will be the superior version.

The PS3 of course plays better. They had an entire YEAR of development time to bring it to the PS3. And why are you playing it through on both systems? Seems like a waste to me.

If you consider that developers got the initial dev kits a year later for PS3 the whole "extra development time" argument is pretty much voided.

Today, the best version (excluding PC since this is a 360 vs. PS3 comparison) goes to the 360 since it has Shivering Isles and the PS3 version does not. However, once they do get Shivering Isles or once the GOTY edition comes out like someone has already said, they will have the best version of Oblivion.

Shivering Isles is an expansion pack not part of the $60xbox version of Oblivion. The lack of a standard HDD means that only aportion of360 Oblivion players have access to that expansion pack. That lack of a Standard HDD again.

They did build the controls around the controller. It was kind of terrible on the PC.

2x160GB Seagate drives in a RAID array beg to differ. I got the shortest load times. Dual X1900s. Uhm, yeah. 2 of everything just makes it that much better.

DualShock via USB works great with Oblivion too.

Keep in mind I've only played the PC version but I'd thin if you dumped 4 gigs of the game on the 360 HDD it would run much better than the PS3 version. I'd like to see a side by side once the GOTY version comes out, but I doubt the 360 version will look better since it runs most the game off the disc.

It wasn't terrible, but certainly not optimized for the PC. You could definitely see the controller scheme in the layout.

From what I heard... computer keyboards just didn't want to play Oblivion. They wanted the superious Morrowind. Its a conspiracy, what can I say?

Oblivion runs very well on my 360, didn't play it on ps3 but it sounds better. 1 year in porting the game, they had plenty of time to fix things.

PC>>>>>>PS3>360.

Mods for additional content and greatly enhanced visuals put the PC version way way ahead. Frankly I don't see how you could play it that long without being on the PC version.

I have it, and have beaten it on the 360. Along with Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles. I have played a friend of mines on his PS3, and I didnt like it as much. Shorter download times were nice, but I just preferred my 360 version. What blew my mind, was when he went out and bought a 360, and wanted to borrow my copy of Oblivion, and he is working on finishing the game on the 360, and left it alone on the PS3. /shrugs

One of the largest let downs ever for me in a very logn time.. The game isn't even worth installing on my pc inless I heavily mod it. To even qaulify this as a rpg is sickening. Leveled creatures meaning you can beat this game at level 2, and it will usaully be easier then later levels (boy that makes sense). Character devolpment is non existent.. The illusion of choice in teh beginning is the dumbest thing ever, because in the end your skills will all be maxed.. There is 0 choices that will effect the outcome of the game other then the superficial breaking the law which can be paid off..
