NVIDIA unveils Volta: their next-gen GPU platform

From the looks of the map, Volta is set to release around 2015-2016. Volta is said to reach bandwidth speeds of 1TB/s.

That's crazy. Will it be for games or stuff like CAD? I can see that coming out at well over $1000 too. Maybe the 690 will be under $500 by then. :P Just read it "We aren't exactly sure what that means for graphics, but being able to process data that quickly is bound to be a boon for gamers... whenever Volta actually arrives, of course." Cool, will keep my eye on this.

OG Titan came out for $999. I doubt this modified version will come out for equal or greater.

 

But there could be other science stuff they do to augment performance or make it run cooler. IDK. :P
