With the announcement of RTX 3000 series, Next Gen console become irrelevant faster than we expected.

RTX 3070 with whooping 20 TFLOPS beating MS advertisement for Series X 12 TFLOPS.

and Nvidia just announce RTX I/O partenership with microsoft void the SONY statement about I/O architecture that only exist on Console.

Remember just a few days ago cow told us that PC cant run PS5 exclusives because unique I/O architecture.

It just a matter of time that RTX 3060 will announce with more power than series X and completely destroy PS5 with 300 dollar or even less.

The XSX might be dead on arrival because its a simple 12tflops machine, which is not powerful anymore. But you forget about the PS5. Have you heard of those RDNA3 rumors? You most likely did. So what if the PS5 sends a patch the unlocks RDNA3 years before its available on PC? What will be your answer to that, buddy? It was never about the tflops, but how use them, and i can assure you that Cerny's team is more knowledgeable than those burger flipping workers at Nvidia.

Banter aside, the consoles will always win with the price-to-performance bracket. I doubt most console users would care about this. I'm pretty excited with the 3000 series tho, ngl. Probably won't be a huge upgrade for me, going from a 2070S to a 3080.

Uhh what's so funny? The msrp of the nvidia cards is at $1000 for their flagship, but at the store you won't find it less than $2000. As for their 3090, you won't find it in stores for less than $4000.

If you're willing to spend a few million, you can get a gpu that makes the 3090 look like a piece of shite.

U can build a good enough PC for around $500 or 600 from scratch and it will obliterate consoles in terms of freedom, possibilities, and performance. Don't have to pay for online either and pay less for games so PC is a better value in the long run. PC wins, sorry

Just face it, if you want parts actually worthy of pairing with a 3060 you're still going to be spending over a grand. There's no way around it bud. Will it outperform these consoles? Absolutely. Is it still at least twice as much? Absolutely.

And the cheaper games thing as a myth. You can get physical console games dirt cheap. Don't be dumb enough to buy overpriced digital games on console.

Did console gamers really think they were going to be top dog in hardware? The entire point of PC is to have modular components so you can customize it to your liking. It's going to be superior to consoles in most instances. Naturally, consoles are going to get BTFO because that's kind of the entire point being that PC s in their nature are upgradeable.

Consoles still have their purposes, like being a cheap easy box for the masses. And the platform holders that make them to provide games for their customers.

You're probably right. My problem is I can fall into being a perfectionist at times, and planning a PC build, I've found, really brings out that aspect of me, lol. I've just gotta stick with a build and go for it.

I'm dedicated to PC gaming and even I know for a fact not every gamer is into PC, that's okay but what I hate seeing is console gamers trying to act like they own the place when the fact they do not much less PC isn't trying to take over console realm. I can tell you now I'm hype as hell on the RTX 3070 and very very less for PS5...but me picking up PS5 is really for exclusive games.

Except that the Xbox Series X is only near the RTX 2080 not even the super version. A Ryzen 3600X for $200 should be perfectly fine for a RTX 3060. It should be $150 at least by the time the RTX 3060 and Zen 3 come out especially on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. $60 for a PSU is perfectly fine. PSUs in that price range have thousands of 4.5 star ratings. For $60 you can get a good 600watt PSU and it will be more than enough for a RTX 3060 since a RTX 3070 only has a TDP of 220w. A $60 motherboard is fine it just depends on how many ports, what type of ports and features you want built in to your motherboard. You won't get built in bluetooth and wifi for $60 though. You can get one for $90 with wifi built in. You can get a 500GB PCIE 3.0 NVME drive with 2,400 Read/Write speed for $60, $100 if you want 1TB.

You get actual free games on PC unlike consoles where you pay a subscription for online multiplayer.
