You really didn't do yourself any favors with that video and...when you actually play the video you should pay close attention to the last word in the name of The insane Trilogy title.
I mean, this is a video that you found and it seems you contradicted your own statement with it's title.

Basically they couldn't just take the original and make HD, widescreen, etc. But they made it to be as faithful to the original as possible

It is in its 2nd month. It has sold more than Splatoon 2 overall.

A remake collection of 20 year old games outselling a brand new game from Nintendo is impressive.
Perfectly true, except it hasn't outsold it in the only month the two have been on sale together (and install base constraints are also a thing after all).

Arms and Splatoon aren't really games that interest me however seeing cows trying to parade around Crash Bandicoot as some kind of 'victory' over Nintendo given the install base of the Switch compared to the PS4 is absolutely hilarious, in a sad way of course.

Battlefield 1 isn't selling because it sucks ass. Who didn't already know that though. Need a couple new shooter franchises to join the mix... seems like it's been a decade. I don't mean spinoffs, I mean a couple new military based shooters. Oh, and bring back SOCOM damn it..

I mean wtf is this ? July 2017, almost 4 years after and game is in top 3 to 7 all the time for 4 years now ? What the hell ! And when i think that new and super hyped games will slow it down ... i see it again ... up there !

wii sports sold like it did because it was easy to play...even your grandpa or 2 year old could play.
but gta 5?????
what separates it from gta 4?
the only reason i can think of....is...this gen is so starved for quality games that gta5 i still the best one out...even 4 years later with ps4 and x1 not able to produce anything on that level.
