Now that this gen is coming to a close . . .

What games are you planning on picking up on the cheap while you still can? I always try to find a few gems that I missed throughout the gen so I have something to play during the doldrums when new consoles come out. So far, I've been focussing on the Wii because I feel like I probably missed more there, and it has a focus on offline play, so I feel like an old game is more likely to have value. I'm also looking to pick up some PS3 games, and maybe even a game or two for the 360, though they would have to be some pretty charming games.

I've picked up Little King's Story and Sin and Punishment so far. What games are you looking at?

I already have an epic backlog to keep me occupied for some time. New games aren't really too necessary right now. Maybe Tomb Raider when that comes out.

GOW:A, NG3:RE, MGR, GTA5, TLOU.. hoping all these are <20  by the year's end. I know GTA prob won't be though.

I always plan on picking up cheaper games, in fact, earlier today I picked up Killzone 1 & 2 and Dead Island for $30. There will be games developed for the 'current' gen machines for some time so I'm not too worried they'll stop supporting them. But then again, M$ did abandon the original Xbox once the 360 dropped, so there might be some worry there. There are literally hundreds of games that are out right now that I want to play, that's why I'm staying with my current consoles and quite possibly skipping next gen entirely.

Hmm i think about get Uncharted 3, Muramasa, Epic yarn

there are still plenty of games from this gen I want to play I probably wont buy a next gen sytem or a PC upgrade until 2015. I really dont care much about graphics. Current gen graphics are still good to me

I could be wrong, but at the most I only remember seeing maybe a blockbuster or two (per console) coming out for predecessor consoles after the new one is out... throughout the history of gaming.  Usually these are games that were already long in development before the new hardware and they are rare.

If the PS4 does arrive end of this year, I don't know why you would say "at least Christmas 2014"... I think it would be AT THE MOST Christmas 2014.

Edit:  Now that I think about it, PS2 had GoW2, P4 and maybe FFXII (not sure) as post PS3 big titles.  The GC had TP.  And these were all right at the start of the next gen, not years into it.  The Xbox had nothing as far as I know.
