lets see the xbox fans say vr is awesome now.

I think its good because there will be more of a demand for real vr games not tech demos. see what Microsoft and sony competition wise comes up with. funny how Microsoft is saying sony is not there competition google and steam is when there trying everything to rival sony. more teraflops, buying more game studios can't rely on third party alone like they did this gen, and now vr.

Im excited for this because I bought the psvr few months ago and i love it. moss and astrobots is great. skyrim vr is sick. first time in years i felt it was something new gameplay wise. cant wait for the 4k headsets.

I wasn’t interested in VR before and I’m not interested in it now. This changes nothing for me. I’m a multi console owner though.

Ignorant to you, not me. There are zero other vr games that i would even bother trying. None of them interest me even in the slighest.

I wonder if the reverse is true as well. How many cows and hermits will hype VR less now that Microsoft is getting into it.

Microsoft as a company has been in VR for quite sometime. Xbox on the other hand isn't.

I know this did make me laugh. I have 130 plus hours in skyrim vr alone. next is no man sky. nevermind other 100 titles on the psn alone for vr. more like 98 i think.

If a shallow 2012 game and some indie game is the reason to own a vr, no thanks.

Microsoft also partnered with Oculus in 2014 I believe, and other VR sets use some form of MS tech, whether its codecs, drivers or OS.

Also, Hololens 2 is on the way.

They never said they didn't support it, just it never came to console.

There's money to be made in VR

No kidding, not even one of those games i'd like to play or try in VR. Played Skyrim almost a decade ago, and it was only worth playing for mods. Resi7 is an abomination. Everything else is not even worth mentioning. This is exactly why VR is meh. The library is full of cheap indie games that feel like vr demos instead of quality aaa titles.

The trouble with VR is we don't have the bandwidth to go any further right now with current hardware.

In order for the coming sets to be real a generation apart from what we have they need to have DP2.0... That way we can get 5-6K at 100-120Hz.

And when they do go that route... We all are going to need to upgrade our GPU's to get DP2.0.

Hopefully the RTX 3 series and the coming Navi cards will have DP2.0 and HDMI2.1.

At this point should MS decide to go into VR they should just allow the PC compatible headsets on the x-series. The power of the system should allow a smooth experience.

Tried PSVR and I think it’s cool for like 5 minutes but it’s just not how I want to play my games for any significant length of time. For me it’s not about the quality or price of VR, I simply prefer to play my games on a standard TV with a standard controller.

Well, the trailer and page just says it is a collaberative effort between HP, MS and Valve, and says Microsoft next to Windows logo, no Xbox mention, though I can see it potentially coming to Xbox, the page makes no affirmation this is the case. Anyhow, might consider one day, when this stuff is cheap.

VR is amazing. I really wish everyone could try it, cuz damn. The sense of scale and immersion is second to none.

And I really wish more people played RIGS. That game is amazing and I really wish it wasn't locked down as a PSVR exclusive. It's really fun to play!

VR is cool. I have a Oculus Quest. My buddy has the Rift, but honestly it’s so infant right now and has a long way to go before it’s worth anything more than a gimmick demo of what could someday be the future.

Yeah, that list stinks. A bunch of racing games, which I seldom play, a bunch of indie stuff I've never even heard of (I've got craploads of cheap, free indie games I never play), one of the only Resident Evils I never finished and Superhot, which I was going to play. Seems there is nothing else with the calibur of Half-Life.

VR is the only reason I would consider getting a PS5 at this time.

It's really the only thing to be excited about in gaming, so would definitely be cool for Xbox to get support. Especially if it worked with PC headsets

alt? meaning what. im a sony fan but also a gaming fan. if Microsoft had more to offer me i would switch but im a single player person. waiting for fable to return. had a 360 just for that game. online is not for me. i work on pc all day and would never be a hermit unless i win the lottery lol.

Personally, I'm just not that interested in VR so far.

I actually do think the Hololens is a more interesting and useful concept - I think more worthwhile ideas could come out of the augmented reality space than the virtual reality space at this point in time tbh.

I also feel like I don't want to have my eyes completely covered while I'm enjoying a video game.

It's good that MS continuing their support of VR for Microsoft Windows PC. It make sense. I am glad they are not supporting it on Xbox though. No need for more gimmicks like Kinect/PSVR/Move/WiiMote.

I couldn't care less for VR, I like format of video games the way they are, otherwise I will just go out in the real world for more 'immersive/realistic' experiences.
