No plans for Dark Souls trilogy to be release in Europe. US and Asia only.

Disappointing news. Makes you wonder why they announced it at Gamescom with is in Germany.

Switch version is still coming though.

Srsly why tho? Why do game developers do this? Accommodate for your fans all over the world, it makes no sense to me.

Despite I live in U.S, I'm really burned out from all these Dark Souls and Bloodborne really spoiled me, so nope, I will not return to the world of Dark Souls again.

Yeah I own the trilogy as it is. Funny thing is, I played Dark Souls 1/2, when Bloodborne release, I totally invested in that game and when Dark Souls 3 release, I just couldn't bring myself to finish the game and Bloodborne really spoiled me lol. Now that I think about it, I really should reinstalled DS3 so I can be done with it.

Need to make sure the switch version at least dumped & sold somewhere.

Certainly strange that they don’t offer this everywhere however I really don’t understand all this commotion about this trilogy bundle myself. You can still get all these games separately anyway and why does this affect the Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered. I mean it’s not like DS2 and DS3 weren’t available for the other systems prior to DS remastered being announced for the Switch. All this is is a bundle of games that were already available for a convenient and slightly cheaper way of getting them all at once.

This trilogy is just all 3 games in one case. You can just buy them separately.

I don't get it either, but it's annoying. Why release Dark Souls Remastered in May on other systems, and then put out a trilogy for those same systems? Why not put out the Trilogy Remaster from the beginning? As a matter of fact, wasn't Dark Souls out last gen for Xbox 360 and PS3? Why not wait until the Xbox Two and PS5 to put out a Remaster at least? The only system that would benefit from a Remaster/Trilogy now is the Switch, and that's the version they gimp.

**** this in general. I grabbed the DS: Remastered, and have Scholars of the First Sin as well as DS3. For the few who have missed even one of these games, you deserve to buy this.

@luxuryheart: Well remastering the first game just basically brings it up to the current gen systems so that all three Dark Souls games are on current systems. This is just a bundle though because the other two games aren’t altered at all. If they were to bring this bundle to the Switch then they would also have to work on porting DS2 and DS3 and that was probably more work then they wanted to do, for now at least. Perhaps they are waiting to see how DS remastered sells on the system first.

Just to be clear again this isn’t a Trilogy Remaster, it’s just a bundle of all three games that are available on these systems already. The only remastered game is the first Dark Souls game.

Edit: Also how is the Switch version gimped? DS2 and DS3 aren’t changed in anyway and neither is DS remastered. All three versions are still exactly the same as from when they were announced.

Their remastery efforts are a joke, so you are better off playing the originals!

I am a bit confused, have they not already released the Scholar of First Sin remaster of Dark Souls II, Dark Souls III, and the Dark Souls Remaster? What good is a trilogy at this point except as a repackaging?

Will it be $60? Then I might be interested in buying for the PS4. I already own ds1 and ds2 on PC. Gonna play them again on PS4.

@lamprey263: Yeah it’s just a repackaging of what was and still is currently available. The only thing this does is offer something that is a bit more convenient for some to get all three games at once. You also save about whatever the dlc for Dark Souls III sells for.

Barring any local sales or whatever the games typically go for:

Dark Souls Remastered = $40

Dark Souls II = $20

Dark Souls III = $20

The Switch isn't even getting the trilogy and DS Remastered is being release months later. Of course it's gimped.

I did say a gen ago (360/PS3) Crash is also different in another way as it was just on PS consoles back in the day and now its on everything.

Games from last gen are just quick cash grabs because devs know that gamers are stupid (for the most part) and know they will buy remaster after remaster.
