https://www.gematsu.com/2021/06/no-more-heroes-and-no-more-heroes-2-desperate-struggle-coming-to-pc-on-june-9

Publisher XSEED Games and developer Grasshopper Manufacture will release No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle for PC via Steam on June 9 for $19.99 / £17.99 / €19.99 each with a 10 percent-off discount for the first week of launch, the publisher announced.

The PC versions include support for HD resolutions, 60 frames per second gameplay, and additional features including Steam Cloud support.

Nice. Good for people who want to give this series a try. I played them earlier this year on Switch and I really liked the first one. Second was meh. I'm definitely pumped for the Third one this August.

Will you be giving this a go, SW?

That is a negative. I just saw the gameplay and it is not for me. It is still good for the folks that are into these games.

Would still like to give these games a try myself someday on the Switch. From what I’ve seen they do look pretty fun and probably something that I’d enjoy. Just another case of there being too many other games that interested in.

To me, the first one is a cult classic. But hell if I know what your tastes are lol. It does have that videogame-y fourth wall humor. You might like it.

I just knew these were coming to PC eventually, glad I didn't buy them on Switch yet. Will most probably get them on PC then.

Interesting thing to note is that the (previously) Switch-exclusive Travis Strikes Again is also coming to PC:

I had the first one on the wii way back when (may still have my copy. i'm not sure). er....mixed. an acquired taste maybe.

there is quite a bit of grinding between the missions with some very bleh mini games (i think the only one i tolerated was the gas station job).

some of the main missions and boss fights were fun though from what i remember. also you save by doing your sinful business in a toilet so...theres that (yes it appeals to my 6 year old sense of humour). it's one of those "ooh look at my mad characters" kind of games but some were funny.

and now the song that you can play on the TV is stuck in my head again....:S

I heard the second was better but haven't played it.

The steam page has a big orange warning about requiring a controller, don't believe I've seen that before. It's a testament to the amount of effort put in the port I suppose, but with steam natively supporting so many controllers now it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

The game is best played with a wii mote (or I guess Joy Con) unfortunately and 2nd game is kind of crap.

I wasn't a fan of using the motion controls, but Switch owners at least have a choice.

kinda both

gameplay wise is very simplistic and mediocre but it oozes with style if you're into weird japanese stuff. It's one of those games that catters to a specific audience

I played the 1st one on the PS3 (heroes's paradise version) and can understand the appeal but dont go expecting a underrated gem or something. I think Suda51 has better games. Personaly I prefered both Killer is Dead and Lollipop Chainsaw over NMH. Killer7 is still his magnum opus though
