Nioh Steam Trailer is here & launching November 7th!

I will admit, this was one of those PS4 console exclusive I wasn't hype or interest this past February. After seeing everyone here who love Nioh, guess I'll be joining in and so glad I didn't follow the console crowd when it launch. Guess I dodge a bullet by not suffering playing the console version 30fps and favoring PC sweet 60fps :)

Looks like Xbox One X has some competition for the PC crowd on November 7th.

I'll try it out since the setting looks like my cup of tea. But I got about this far in Dark souls before giving up...

And even then, a very shoddy 60fps. Like 60 is absolute best case scenario. Talking OG PS4 though, Pro might actually keep a lock on it.

But yeah, definitely going to double dip here, excellent game for sure.

I just hope to god the port is decent. Nothing fancy. Just support for 60fps(or more would be welcomed), 4K and stable performance along with M+KB support. If they wanna add more I ain’t gonna complain but it’s really all I’m asking for.

Not personally concerned about m/kb, controller feels right at home with this game for me. But yeah, if I get a locked 60 minimum and a much cleaner image quality than the PS4 version, I'll be happy.

@Juub1990: Nah, not really. It's above PS3 visuals. Also, you will not want to use a mouse and keyboard for this game.

It also support 1440p/60fps and it's basically what I really want coming from Nioh.

The option to choose between performance and graphics is there on both.

There is a 60fps option on the base PS4. But it makes the image quality look like mud, which would be fine with me, except that the game doesn't really keep the 60 very steadily.

Damn. I want to play this game so bad but I never saw it at a discount. Now I'm afraid that if I buy it it comes down in price shortly after so I hold on. Is infuriating.

the complete edition should be coming to ps4 as well at some point so far it's only announced for pc/japan

Yes but the PS4 Complete Version is only available in Japan on November 7th, no announcements for West as of yet.

Nioh remains one of my favourite games from this year, definitely the best Souls-style game not made by From Software

yeah, which doesn't hold 60 on base ps4, runs at 720p, 1080p and think it even drops under that briefly but at least it does much better job at keeping 60

I have it on a base ps4, its completely fine. I'd much rather have it on the ps4 than on PC because of rampant cheating that has been in all of the dark souls...

at least from the vids it seems 1080 kept 60fps on 1440p, which isn't exactly spectacular but better than many feared off, as for the other parts you are most likely right. I played it out on ps4 so most likely skipping the PC version, maybe pick it on sale down the road if I get the itch to play it again

Would be interesting to see how cheaters play the game and skip all the RNG for attributes.

Brilliant game and this will (hopefully) be the best version. Anyone who hasn't played it needs to check it out.

I don't think the Souls comparison is quite right, personally. It's a lot more hectic, it has tons of loot and it has a (sort of) ongoing narrative. Graphically it's nothing at all like Souls either. Anyway, put it on your wish list it's great.

Yeah, didn't notice that until someone pointed it out and I hardly follow Nioh's news/updates at the time of it's release but knowing it has 60fps mode is really great that developers are giving gamers options.

Picked this up on discount, don't trust the Publisher enough to pay full wack, but I really want to play the game, so willing to put up with whatever shite comes attached.

I'm currently playing through Bloodborne, but I'd have to say that I enjoyed Nioh more. The combat in that game is just sublime, and so I would recommend it to anyone that's even slightly interested. If they had added kb + mouse support for the pc port, I'd probably double dip now as opposed to waiting for a sale.
