Yeah that was in my insider thread. The S's availability is going put them ahead of Sony in stock depleted months, and when the Bethesda and Activation deals start to pay out for MS, Sony will effectively remain in third.

They don't even have Japan to fall back on now. They were effectively Trojan Horsed worldwide.

Same as Elite Series 2 has a quality problem. Wonder why MS raised 90 days warranty to 1 year. But looks like 1 year isn't enough.

Even when Xbox was at its best in past years we saw it perform better over PS during holidays and slide throughout the year and it mostly seemed limited to the North American market, sometimes UK. But damn if people don't take a few losses without losing it.

its crazy how nintendo doesn't care whatever happens, they just do their own thing as usual. MS could take over the world, but nintendo will still be there.

Easy to google it, something like Elite 2 quality issues, 90 days warranty raised to 1 year and so on. But, if you didn't know, Nintendo, MS and Sony, all of them are buying sticks from one manufacturer and they are the same on all gamepads. Class action lawsuits are currently ongoing against MS, Sony and Nintendo, whom have been accused of selling faulty hardware to consumers in spite of being aware of the issues they present. As is usually the case with such matters, a resolution to the situation might not present itself for a while.

Good thing warranty fixes for the Elite 2 in that year don't count towards sales. Those are new sales of $200 controllers. I wonder if Sony will extend their warranty?

@mowgly1: yea well I never heard of that the first elite controller had a year warranty, I had MS replace it 3 times. The bumpers on the original elite were just trash, eventually got tired of sending it to MS and started buying the bumpers myself. I’ve had my series 2 for at least a year and have had no problems at all.
