Congrats to Nintendo, too bad Japan numbers are so tiny and insignificant compared to the rest of the world. 60 million units to go before they catch up with the PS4's worldwide lead. They should have released the Switch in 2013.

The shield tablet released in 2014, 2013 would of been impossible. Five years later you have a 40% downclocked version for a higher price.

True I guess. Oh well, they definitely wasted their time with the WiiU, they should have done this console/handheld hybrid idea in 2012 instead of the WiiU even if it would have been weaker due to lack of Tegra. As it is now it's impossible for it to catch up with the PS4's worldwide lead.

Well PS4 was the top selling console in the world in 2018 despite Switch winning in US and Japan last year. Europe is the largest market in the world and Sony owns there so they are still able to sell more worldwide despite slowing sales in US and JPN.
