Nintendo's Eternal Darkness trademark has 36 months

Looks like Nintendo may not be able to have anymore trademark renewals for this dead IP unless they actually do something with it.

Thoughts?

I hope they release an HD remake so they can keep the trademark.

Am I the only one who didn't care for Eternal Darkness? I see so much love for this game on gaming sites that I feel that maybe I should have given it a second chance... I put about 5 hours into it and stopped playing.
