Nintendo NX confirmed for 2016 release!

Japanese video game maker Nintendo will launch this year a new machine NX, Macronix (2337), general manager CY LU said Macronix will provide products to NX,NX and considerable expectations.

Only one year sooner than they usually release their systems and given the fact that Wii U has no traction it would be understandable.

For Nintendo blowing the Gamecube out of the water is hard to do.

In the wake of a potential VR takeover, during the biggest push from publishers in the 8th gen, and after the colossal flop that was the Wii U, Nintendo just brazenly strolls in alpha as ****.... I hope they succeed.

I'm not talking sales either. Gamecube was their last console that wasn't underpowered and had a respectable library. Both Wii consoles are shit no matter how you judge them.

Lets see Sony and MS pull off what Nintendo did. 1080p/60 fps gaming and using next to no power? Legendary.

That's hard for most companies to do since the Gamecube was a gem with an excellent library.

It didn't have nearly as much as its competitors but it had a lot more than the non-existent support of WiiU and the shovelware support Wii had. It also had better first party games unlike the WiiU being nothing more than 2D platformers and Bayonetta and most Wii games being dumbed down with gimmicky motion controls.

Let's see how meh this console will be. No way that Nintendo will give us a stronger console than the PS4.

There's no way Nintendo would be stupid enough to release a 9th gen console that isn't more powerful than an 8th gen console.

Wii U games arent dumbed down, Pikmin 3, New Super Luigi, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Yoshi Woolly World, Super Mario Maker, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze etc are some of the hardest to ever be released from their series's.

Rather spend my money on the PSVR. No thanks.

Man, I agree with a lot of your points, but no way in hell is Wii U's first party support dumbed down. An excess of 2D platformers? Absolutely, no question. But dumbed down? Nah. Xenoblade X, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Mario Maker, Smash 4, Yoshi's Woolly World, and Tropical Freeze are all great games, and in many cases the best games in their series.

Yep. It's a near impossibility as far as the cpu and memory are concerned. They made sure to put a significantly more advanced gpu in Wii U than 360 so they know the importance of the gpu too.

WiiU sales are flatlining. They will not spin in place in the market while Sony blots out the sun again.

@Shewgenja: Wii U sales are doing fine, they are way higher then same time last year the reports have stated. N3DS is doing fine also, and thanks to the Pokemon N3DS, we be rollin the deep. Nintendo needs to replace Wii U asap though, lots of people who havnt played a new Nintendo console who might buy one.

When your car model isnt selling to your customers, you redesign it and try to give them something they do want. While at the same time, you still support those who bought your previous model some, cause you want them to roll on over also and help with word of mouth.

Yo char, drop the acid. None of those games are the best in their series, aside from maybe MK8 and Xenoblade. Splatoon doesn't count cuz its a new IP so obviously its the best in its series. Smash 4 isn't the best smash, Mario Maker isn't the best Mario, Yoshi's WW isn't the best yoshi game, Tropical freeze isn't the best Dk game.

Out of excitement, I went to Gamestop to preorder and they slapped me in the face and told me to preorder Pokken Tournament instead. :'(

I said 'in many cases.' For me, that would be Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros. 4, Tropical Freeze, and SMM I generally take as a successor to the NSMB games. I hear Xenoblade X is supposed to be better than the original as well. Never intended for Yoshi to be taken as the best in its series, and is the reason I included the 'in many cases' line at all.

Well, DK certainly is. Yoshi is as far as the platforming mechanics.

@charizard1605: Oh fair enough. To be honest i didn't consider your post as your opinion but more like you stating it as fact for some reason haha. But Smash 4 over Melee? :(

Yeah, it's got more characters, more modes, 8 man smash, online play, and while I do think Melee has the better fighting engine, Smash 4 is simply the better package holistically than Melee is. if I had to bust one of these games out to play with my friends, which is the only time I play Smash, it'd be Smash 4, so it wins out for me. This isn't me downplaying Melee, of course, this is me saying Smash 4 works far better for how I play the series than Melee does.

I will agree to that, Smash 4 has an amazing amount of solid content. The melee fighting engine is better as you said but Smash 4 has everything else going for it. Do you think Smash 5 will appear on the NX, or will we just see the assumed smash 4 port and that's it?
