Id say those are facts but Mario 64 aint up there.

It should be number 1(favorite game of all time), but objectively those look correct.

I'm certain I wouldn't place OOT above BOTW. Great game? Sure. If it wasn't for the change from overhead to 3d I don't think it would be as endlessly praised as it is.

Ocarina was solid. It's not my favorite zelda, but I understand why it's on the list.

As long as Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is up their, nothing else matters. Mario 64 should've been at number 1 but oh well.

Ocarina of Time was a revolutionary during N64 era and brought the world to life for a Zelda game, it was just something none of us ever expected, an open-world Zelda was breath taking. Sure, my first Zelda game was A Link to the Past but Ocarina of Time is were it's at.

Lets also acknowledge it is a relatively sparse and barren open world which I think it important to remember. If I had the choice I'd take ALTTP but that doesn't mean OOT is shabby by any means although it does seem to be an example of hype IMO.

I would switch the positions of Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Otherwise the list is accurate.

Video game magazines took care of that. They were the high points and just about every gaming magazines gave high praises for Nintendo exclusives.

There is no objectivity in ANY list that is relies SOLELY on whoever's opinion. You are naive to think my issue is with the listed games.

I'm mad, salty, and appalled.

I think some of that is deserving, but Mario Odyssey is one of the weaker Mario games as it didn't really have a coherent theme. The world design just wasn't that interesting and consistent. It felt like the game played it too safe.

BOTW is a great game, but I also feel like the game was pretty unrewarding giving the same weapons to you over and over again just to have them break and repeat the cycle. After a couple of dozen hours, I just don't get excited about chests or rewards anymore.

I'm a Nintendo fan but those are not the 5 greatest video games of all time. It doesn't even have the best Mario or Zelda game tbh.

OOT is trash. I've tried multiple times to play through it, putting multiple hours into each time but get bored. Granted I didn't try this until 15 years after it was out, but by today's (or then's) standards it is objective trash.

Yep, Nintendo make absolutely fantastic games. I’d probably make a few adjustments for my personal list but those are certainly all great games up there.

I don't agree that its trash but it has failed to draw me in like the others and I played it about 8 years after the fact.

Good ol' Mario and Zelda. I'd put Bubble Bobble and Street Fighter 2 before any other game though. And International Karate on Commodore 64, though I doubt if anyone knows what the hell that game is.

Zelda is great to be sure. I'm replaying Twilight Princess on Gamecube at the moment and enjoying it more than Breath of the Wild. Don't get me wrong, Breath of the Wild is still a good game.

That said, the Mario games listed don't deserve to be there. Mario 3 and Mario World were great to be sure, but every other Mario was simply meh to good. Mario Odyssey was meh. Good for those 12 years old and younger but meh on every other level.

@Telekill: All the NES Mario games were excellent imo. I didnt care much for SMW but Yoshis Island is excellent. I'd also say Mario has some of the better jrpgs.

Nintendo has certainly made some of the best games of all time. Sick of Mario though. Platformers don't do it for me anymore. Can only handle the same retreaded territory so much from Nintendo.

It saddens me that Tony hawks 2 has ps1 next to it than dreamcast. The dreamcast version is easily the best in the series. How that system failed is criminal.
