Nintendo Direct June 28th reactions! Persona, Nier Automata, Portal Collection, and more!

Good to see Persona going to Switch as well, I was a bit confused why they announced it to release it for Xbox and PlayStation and PC but not on the Switch.

That was a really strong Direct! So many great announcements. Added the recap to the OP.

Today's news brings a new hope that port begging works.

I'm curious about Nier Automata, It had some trouble running on PS4 and xbox one.

@jaydan: lmfao, I know right. There were some cows who claimed persona "belonged" on the ps while switch got smt. I guess those smtv sales perked up segas attention. I'll be happy to say, I was one of those who purchased smtv.

According to Square Enix on Twitter, they managed to get the game on 1080p, unsure if it's dynamic dock and 720p handheld. Targeted frames at 30 FPS

So in reality, what they really meant is that the game runs between 640p-1080p (1080p being native when you look at the floor or sky) and in 17-30fps.

On one hand, I want Mario Rabbids, the first one was pretty good. On the other hand, I also dont want to give Ubisoft any money.

Oh, that won't happen. Unless you're talking the Crisis Core remaster or something. I'd like the pixel remasters on Switch though.

Am interested to know how well these ports (P5R, Nier Automata, Portal, etc) do on the Switch. I imagine they will sell really well. Kinda want to buy them even though I already played them lol.

All of a sudden all the sheep love Persona.

Where was this energy when Sony dominated the year 2020 with not only the exclusive GOTG/GOTD in The Last of Us 2, but also one of the highest rated games of all time being exclusive to PS5 with 95 @ MC. (Persona 5: Royal)

Same goes for Lems. And remember when Herms hated on Sony games, but now they’re on the Sony train since those games are coming to PC now 😄

Port-beggers on Nintendo consoles are the laughing stock. Port beggers on PS/Xbox/PC? They practically get what they want.

Already beat Portal on Switch, what a blast! Feels special playing one of my all-time favourite games on a handheld.

@R4gn4r0k: How is the loading screens? That was my biggest complaint about the games on other consoles, too long to load and frequent load screens.

They are present, but they are not bothersome or anything.

I think it's inherent to the source engine. It feels a lot like the PC version did back then, and that's quite a compliment really, how close this port is to the original.

Because Golden Sun is one of the best JRPG's in the world. I wouldn't mind a remake or remaster of Golden Sun 1 and 2. It's really unlikely Golden Sun 4 will be out anytime soon. There's not enough demand for a 4th sequel since Camelot somewhat butchered Dark Dawn. I've heard of F-Zero and am stunned that the last game was on the GBA!

Hopefully, Nintendo will wake up and deliver.
