I <3 Torchlight II.The sad part is that since they announced WW, we are almost guaranteed to not see a new Zelda this year.DaBrainzYou never know a new Zelda on the 3ds has been announced since after OOT3D's release its bound to show up at E3.
The sad part is that since they announced WW, we are almost guaranteed to not see a new Zelda this year.DaBrainzNot sad at all. I'd rather them not blow their whole load in two years. We had SS last year, didn't we (which I haven't played yet)? I'll bet the next one won't hit till 2014. Wind Waker Redux will be a solid placeholder while we wait. I'm thinking I'm going to end up going PC/U this gen. Forza is the only thing left on Microsoft I care about, and there is nothing besides Syphon Filter left on Sony I care about. However, there is an ass-ton of multiplats I care about and DAT NINTENDO FIRST PARTY.
The sad part is that since they announced WW, we are almost guaranteed to not see a new Zelda this year.DaBrainzThere will definitely be a Zelda 3D announced this E3, most likely due later this year.

You forgot an S after 3D I guess

No, I meant Zelda 3D to denote Zelda 3DS :PAs much as I love the Galaxy games and consider them some of the best games I've ever played... I dont want another one. Not now at least. No off the wall sh*t like Sunshine either. Bring it back to the Mushroom Kingdom.
Honestly, I trust EAD with whatever they're planning, but Galaxy 3 would be a bit redundant.
E3 2011 was when they first announced it, E3 2012 they didn't mention it at all, but then they went ahead and gave us an information blowout in the June 2012 Nintendo Direct. We've been on a blackout since. When did Nintendo first talked about SSB Wii U?

So that's at least 2 years under develpment? I have a feeling it's coming this year!
The only reason they made Galaxy 2 was that they had many ideas that they had to drop from Super Mario Galaxy but still wanted to use them.As much as I love the Galaxy games and consider them some of the best games I've ever played... I'm sure with the Wii U they will have a new Super Mario series.

Nov/Dec period still wide open for a 3DS holiday gun.

That's loser talk. Anything can be topped if you have the ambition, drive and ideas to do it. Galaxy 3, the series is just too good to stop, its creative license to do ANYTHING.

Super Mario Galaxy 3 please!!!ActicEdgeNo more Galaxy. Galaxy 2 cannot be topped.if they can give it a good hubworld where you can freely fly from planet to planet, yeah they could
They will still use the same core game design as SMG but it won't be called SMG3.
Less emphasis on gravity, more on the new gimmick.

I remember thinking Galaxy couldn't be topped and then Galaxy 2 put me in my place. I'm sure a Galaxy 3 would be outstanding, but I would prefer something else.
They can still be ridiculously creative without having a space theme. Its not like the previous games were grounded to any sort of realism.

I think the next Super Mario game will be something different since they change the formula every gen, if they stayed the same people would lose interest in the main franchise.
the fact that ninty is releasing it's bread and buttah software is no surprise, to be sure, but u have to wonder how they will turn out; SMG was a needed evolution in the series for mario and skyward sward doesn't look or play like the previous installments...i would assume necessary changes are coming to all the new installments now one could only hope ninty has a few surprises in store for us...say retro's new project? OR, dare i say, a new major ip release?22Toothpicks
I just want to see their games in HD, I mean Uncharted, Gears and top of the line HD, that's all its gonna take for me.
Hell Im already convinced to get a Wii U just for the next Xeno game ( and the X was colored in red meaning it will have some connection to Xenogears hopefully! ), add to that showing me your best games in their HD glory and Im locked!
nintendo could just show a smash bros trailer and not do anything else and their E3 would be a success for me
other stuff will be interesting too
It surprises me a lot that they announced them. They never done this before...
I honestly thought this was a joke thread.
Wow, if you don't know Nintendo this may not seem like a big deal, but this like breaking a tradition. I'm suprirsed and would love to know what this means for the future. Perhaps they are breaking with typical Japanese business ethics, or they changed something drastic in the way their company operates. Either way it sounds like they made a big new decision on how to deal with gamers.
The reason this could be important is because the biggest fear Nintendo fans have is that Nintendo may hold on to traditions too much. Like they can't keep up and would at some point fade away. Maybe they can adapt. That would be something miraculous for the Japanese gaming industry.
Hopefully I'll get my Super Mario Sunshine 2.
but I'm more excited for Super Smash Bros. 4.
I'm wondering if all of these Collaborations Nintendo is doing is going to reflect on Smash?
Shin Megami characters in Smash? Tales Characters in Smash? Wonder if the Rainfall (Xenoblade, Last Story, Pandora's Tower) Characters be in the game. Returning Characters?
So much Hype for that sucker!
Ninty pulls the same 3-4 series every gen in every sytem since N64.
nitekids2004
Mario
Smash Bros
mario Kart
Zelda
Metroid
Pikmin
Well as you can see we have already crossed over 4 and gone to 6, and that is just of the common series, not to mention others that appear and new IP's. If we are hating on one of them, why not MS? They truly suck.
Not even trolling..Does it really surprise you those games are coming to the Wiiu?Heil68
Haha honestly that's the first thought that came to mind ... I'm not sure how this is "big news" considering everyone EXPECTS Mario and Zelda when they buy a Nintendo system.
This is all well and good but they need to have AT LEAST one of these games released in time for the winter holidays when the other new consoles arrive.
As much as I love the Galaxy games and consider them some of the best games I've ever played... I dont want another one. Not now at least. No off the wall sh*t like Sunshine either. Bring it back to the Mushroom Kingdom.

It makes the most economical sense to take the foundation of the Galaxy games and expand on it.
But I personally feel it's time for something entirely new.
I don't like this trend of pumping out sequels to newly established (sub)franchises even if they sell and fans want them.

the news is basically how soon we're getting it, and when we can expect information on it.:D I will probably play and love all those games. I will not understand the people who will not get a PC/Wii U combo.
And man a Wind Waker HD remake is what I asked for a while back, I never expected them to actually do it.
