Nielsen: 360 has most 'active users' in 2009, Wii has fewest

most active users? what does that mean exactly?

the 360 has the highest, but the percentage is less than 12%

so does this mean that only 12% of 360 users are active?

maybe i am misunderstanding the graph, but what are all the console users doing if only 12% are active?

there is something fishy with this "active user" thing. it doesnt really say what it means.

you would think it means how many people are using their console, but it shows that the original xbox has almost as many active users as the ps3 and more than the ps2... that is hard to believe.

That graph is obviously fake :P More users on the GCN? You got to be kidding me. You are also forgeting the number of people who turn on their wii every day to play Wii Fit to get there excersize. Yes people acctually do that. That by that self is bigger than that number. And also you are forgetting that the wii usually in the top when it comes to most games sold. Why are people buying all those games yet not playing them?

also, this graph is just for america, and is probably based on polls, which are always innaccurate.

well I went back to wii after a while for wii sports resort and soon super mario galaxy 2 as long as they keep bringing good games dust will not be on top of my wii.

I'm not exactly sure what the Active Users mean, especially since in terms of usage per month, the Wii smokes the GCN.

Perhaps it's due to the extremely small current userbase of the GCN that skews it higher than the Wii.

no one plays the GCN, xbox 360 and ps2 anymore. so most of the people sell it to buy next gen consoles. while poor people that cant afford a new console (very poor people that cant afford a wii) buy a used console
