Tune in on YouTube and Twitch at 10PM UK time.

The show will focus on "announcements and updates for upcoming third-party releases headed to PS5 and PS4", so don't expect any Horizon or God of War.'

Keep expectation pretty low then.

These have been so shit that i have no hopes anymore. Copying Nintendo Direct was the worst decision ever.

Timing is right for FFXVI. The dev team wanted to get an update out for TGS but missed it. The only hiccup is why promote FFXVI when it will innately overshadow Forspoken, which is where the focus should be.

Solar Ash, Stray, Little Devil Inside are all due for updates too.

Doubtful we’ll see other AAA projects.

The last state of play was awesome. I also like that they have one right before a major game coming out. ghost and last us 2 had a state of play.

I do miss e3 but that is once a year. im not waiting once a year to see what is coming.

god for bid sony has no games coming for three months. heck xbox fans had to wait 1 year for a major game to come.

20 min show based on third party. Almost a guarantee that they won't show anything of interest.

Best case scenario for me is either an update on Instinction or a Dino Crisis reboot and confirmation that Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge is coming to PS5 and 4 with a release date.

I won't hold my breath. My PS5 isn't getting any use right now.

Could they at least show FFXVI at least? Been a minute since we heard from that.

Agreed. The format works for Nintendo, since Nintendo always has heaps of games to announce. Sony shouldn't even attempt it during their drought.

Nintendo direct has been a meme since the beginning. Always felt like they were talking to children. Every single direct for the last year plus had absolutely nothing, and you're delusional enough to say that they had heaps of games to announce lol. What a sheep.

Probably BB related news only because so many rumors started popping up out of nowhere which got everyone buzzing about the PS5 version & most likely PC version.

@ermacness: right there are so many to choose from. He is done with f.i.s.t., kena, ratchet and clank, death stranded, demon souls, miles, ghost, so much more. He bought all those games already? Nothing to play while I'm trying to keep up with all these games. Plus Alan wake ect. So many of them.

Probably some new cars coming to GTA online. And FIFA and Battlefield of course. I expect 20 minutes marketing for service games.

I am not expecting much with this being only 20 minutes and 3rd party stuff kind of surprised we are getting this just figured sony was done for the year out side of like blog post or maybe something at the game awards. Would be great if Tony hawk 3-4 where to be announced has Tony hawk 1-2 remake was done so well and 3 and 4 where much much better games because the levels where a lot better and much bigger but not sure how likely that is. Maybe we can get a release date for the new TMNT game.

Since when GOTG has anything to do with Sony? And I'm actually looking forward to playing it day one myself.

I think Sony has a marketing deal with Marvel/Square Enix on this and this State of Play as mentioned will be focused on third party games.

I mean, GOTG releases 10/26 and State of Play is set in 10/27 kinda be silly for Sony to show of that game when its already out lol.
