The Gamecube remake of Resi 1 is still spectacular. Unless you mean using the new engine, but that would spoil it IMO. There's still something to be said for the pacing and cinematic splender of the traditional installments. I'd love a HD port of of Resi 4 with all the bells and whistles though. The PC version is nasty.
No and Capcom does not milk very much they are just porting a few great games to the Wii that is it. They made a couple Megaman collections but they are very good at making new IP's and stand above many other devs.
