Battlefield developer DICE is currently testing a battle royale mode for this year's Battlefield V.

YAWN!! another popular game getting battle royal. again EA copying what trend is today. remind me of last gen when they copy modern warfare.

Fornites enormous popularity suggest the mode is quite popular. And could be quite cool with battlefields vehicle based large scale battles.

So, COD and BF having battle royal means that PUBG will die.

I agree with this. As long as it's not the only mode in the game, I'd be down for that.

The only way I'm getting it is if it's Bad Company 3 and it would be at a significant price cut. I wouldn't be going online much.

I just don't see how this is a bad thing. More options is always good. Did you imply that Battlefield copied COD somehow? Please explain.

Battlefield is COD with vehicles, big maps and destruction. thats it.

@ghosts4ever: Battlefield was 1st released in 2002. COD was 1st released in 2003.

If anything, COD copied Battlefield but had to dumb it down for the ADHD kids.

BF3, BF4 and BF1 are all incredible games to me online and have overall similar modes of play. If they want to try something different, a new mode that could turn out well, I dont see the problem in them testing the waters personally, but do it well and I don't want to feel the BR mode is shoehorned into the game. They should keep the other modes too, not replace them all with BR

Quite interested in what a AAA battle royal game would be like.
