Your thoughts? This seems pretty awesome to be honest. Love GOG and I'm looking forward to trying out 2.0 beta when it releases soon.

Great to hear. Very happy with how Microsoft is handling the PC side of things by giving value and convenience to the consumer. I already bought xbox game pass for PC and have been enjoying it.

Epic can learn A LOT from Microsoft.

That seems cool I guess. I’m not into PC gaming myself so I’m not sure what effect this will have on me as a console gamer but GOG seems pretty well liked amongst the PC community.

Microsoft games don't really need a launcher anyways though

Cool thing about GoG is most games are piracy ready DRM free versions. They trust their customers to treat the licenses with respect and have proven that it can be a successful business model. It's like going to a supermarket where all the shopping carts don't require a coin to use. It feels nice to be trusted like that. So they are well respected.

Also helps that it is basically CD Project RED's storefront. A developer known for impressive free post-release improvements to their games, who discovered that putting extra effort into a game pays off.

GOG deserves success, it champions the consumer.

Love Microsoft's focus on games, but I am still not comfortable or enjoying their delivery methods; they're clunky at best, buggy at worst. If I could get my Microsoft products (or games, specifically) through GoG, I would be incredibly happy.

The big question (and maybe this was answered in the article?) is whether or not MS will be OK with GoG's "no drm" policy. That would be a pretty big leap on Microsoft's part if they are cool with that.

I agree with this 100%, but part of me wonders if this was a matter of survival for them. IIRC GoG let go a significant percentage of their workforce not too long ago due to financial problems (granted, a whole lot of companies have been doing that).

If I'm looking to buy a game now, I always check GOG first if it's available, and will pay a premium to get it there (i.e. $29.99 on GOG but $19.99 on Steam).

That's pretty cool. Not a PC gamer, but I can see how this would be big for some.

That's better. The approach is like shopping centre owner allowing many shop fronts. Microsoft should re-energize it's clone army to be different from Google Play and Apple.

Microsoft should be promoting Azure for it's clone army.
