Even cleverer than I thought. Don't change the battery, change the internals of the hardware that only affect the battery's efficiency. Genius.

I have no plans to plug my into a tv so I want the lite. It's smaller + DPAD and just a bonus the price is 100 dollars less I can't wait to get my lite still.

@MirkoS77: Umm, ok? You seem to be under the impression that no company has ever revised their product before to make it more efficient.

Eh.

Just maybe revise it in more than one respect.

Well, this is a stupid post. First of all, every successful console has die shrinks. Second, they actually had no choice; the 20nm Tegra X1 has to be discontinued soon because 20nm is about to die as a node.

@MirkoS77: So initially you were complaining that they might have changed the battery just to screw you over and now you’re complaining that they didn’t?

Hard pass, if its just a longer batter life. If you already have a Nintendo Switch, there are cheaper alternatives for longer battery life by just getting a power bank.

I don't like Nintendo anyway, don't cha know? I look for any reason to blame them, and never have claimed I'm unprejudiced. I'm very prejudiced against this bozo company, it's run by complete morons.

So there.

So what?

Don't look at it from a perspective of how successful they are, but of how successful they could be. Their approach to online is mediocre (that's nigh a compliment) and their absolute neglection to utilize their legacy into a console that is just screaming to be exploited as the ultimate platform to be the go-to retro experience for all of their past platforms is nothing but pure idiocy and incompetence.

These people are sitting on a gold mine that other companies would kill to have, yet they do nothing. People would kill, they'd pay through the nose by the droves, if Nintendo got up off their asses and actually worked to bring their legacy to the Switch. Include multiplayer functionality into that legacy? Watch Nintendo Online subscriptions explode with people easily willing to pay $60 a year for that.

But no, let's fart out a few miserable NES games here and there with terrible online performance mired in laughable functionality and feature sets for a measly $20. Boy, color me impressed. But hey, they're a success!

Watching Nintendo is like watching a gorgeous woman who has no idea how to handle herself. It's just painful and pathetic, not only in the moment, but in seeing the potential wasted.

@Archangel3371: by all means. :)
