I'm worried that it'll be modern, but not BF4 modern. It'll be a reimagining of modern war like how BF1 and BFV are for WW1 and WW2. We'll see.
I was hoping it's the BF4 successor set in the modern era. If that's the case, its another reason I'll just play it through EA Pro sub. Why can't EA just go back to Bad Company?
Haven't played BFV online but I liked the BF1's mode (forget what it is called) where it's offense and defense moving the line of battle forward until all zones captured or requisitions run out, and there is like three attempts. Seems like an evolution of Rush mode. I liked this as never been a big fan of classic Conquest mode. Curious to see what they'll do in this regard, having offense and defense modes.

If i like this, i might just go full tryhard in it. It has been a while since i nolifed an fps for its pvp. I think the last game was Destiny 1 👀
Here's a good starting tip: be a medic. That way you can learn the ins and outs of the game while helping out others by healing and reviving them. The focus won't be on shooting so much then.
If you are a lone wolf, in that case you can check out the Sniper class instead ;)

128 players. Damn. That'll be chaotic.
Maps will be bigger of course, but yeah. I remember the days of 64 player Operations and Rush, it was pure chaos.

Bah. Just pick Soldier and get in there. Best way to learn. :P
@R4gn4r0k: I am not new to BF. I played it a shitload back when they were worth playing. I'll go with the class that has weapons i like. I just want the AN-94 to be in this game, and be as good as it was in BC2 ðŸ˜
In BC2, the BF game i played the most, i played them all.
Recon with M95 with the Colt. Leg shot with sniper, swap to the Colt and finish them off across the map with a pistol. That shit was funny and i missed it so much in the later BF games.
Medic with mah gangsta PKM.
Assault with the AN-94. Prob my fav assault rifle in any BF game.
With Engineer i only played it when abusing tanks or piping with the Carl Gustave before they nerfed it. The Saiga with slugs was also amazing before they nerfed slugs.
This BF better be good cuz i do want a BF game in my life.

AN-94 noob
>:P
It was considered noob? I wasn't visiting any BF forums, so i had no idea. I began running it as soon as i unlocked it, back when everyone was running the broken M16 and the M60 before they nerfed them. I am the OG👀

Pretty sure its set in 2042.
I would love Bad Company 3. 2042 tells me it's going to be weird.

I'm pulling your leg, don't get so worked up like you're being presented with a new Ubisoft game 🤣
Man, I just wanted to say: Bad Company 2 was amazing, I had such a great time playing it!
The destruction, the levels, the weapons... And it got one hell of an expansion too
People playing Bad Company 2 on a triple monitor setup is what got me interested in buying an ultrawide monitor in the end (wider FOV, but no stupid bezels)
Battlefield 4 in this pic, for lack of a better one.
Now we're down to "Stand by." Looks like it's time.
Unfortunately, the trailer is premiering on a different video, here:
Loading Video...
So, to recap, one hour-long stream for the countdown, and a separate stream for the trailer itself. FFS, EA, you can't even go one trailer reveal without making it obtuse as Hell.
It... ...looks like a Battlefield game. I do appreciate that it's not even keeping up the pretence of realism this time, and actually featured that old "jump out of plane, stick a rocket up pursuer's arse, jump back in plane" trick that the BF games have been known for. Saves a lot of time.
Anyway, gameplay reveal on June 13th, probably during the Xbox E3 show.
Looked bad. Since they're showing gameplay in a few days, i can deal with that, but if it was just this teaser shit... please f off. Enough with teasers that don't show any in game visuals, animations, physics, etc.
The max player count has been doubled to 128 on PC and the new consoles
The 128-player maps are divided into sectors containing clusters of control points; capture all the control points in a sector to control it
Classes (engineer, assault, support, etc) are now categories that contain specialists. Each specialist has a backstory and unique gadget, but can carry any gun.
Gadgets we've seen: A grappling hook, a health/revive gun (think Doc in Rainbow Six Siege), an auto-turret (think Team Fortress 2), a movement sensor (to catch people sneaking up on your while you're sniping)
10 specialists at a launch
Purchasable battle passes; four seasons and four new specialists per year
Post-launch maps will all be free
"Levolution" is back, baby. What we've seen: tornadoes lift players and vehicles into a vortex, a sandstorm blots out the sky, a space rocket launches (or maybe explodes)
Everyone has a wingsuit
Some vehicles will have spotter seats (a small detail but I like the sound of it)
No battle royale, but there are some mystery modes

Updated the OP with the really real video this time 🤣
It looks fine I guess. They took the wingsuit from Far Cry / Just Cause, the weather from Battlefield 4 / Just Cause 4.
I don't want to hate on it to bad, as I don't think it looks half bad. It's just not my cup of tea.
So, we have to wait until June 13 to see the actual game....
Yup. Don't care about teasers for these kinds of games honestly.
