I loved the Arkham games so I’m definitely interested in seeing what this might be.
At this point though, they really need some big shake-up to the formula.
@uninspiredcup: I’d be fine with the current formula myself.
Fair enough, but it has been 5 games of what is essentially the exact same thing, with many games cloning it.
@uninspiredcup: I don’t mind playing games with similar gameplay if I enjoy that gameplay. Just give me new graphics, characters, and stories and I’m good to go.

I'd like some refinements to the combat. We've had 4 Arkham games, the Mordor games and even Spiderman using that "notification=press parry button" then attack combat. It needs some shake up at this point imo.
I wonder if it's a reboot or a continuation of the Arkham series. Would like a continuation with more Justice League influence.

They also did the Vita game, which was a good shake-up of the formula.
I hope it's set in Winter again like Origins the atmosphere in that game was amazing I really like the Joker too in this game I believe it was the late 80's or early 90's version.
Let Batman have a vacation for God's sake.
It might not even be Batman. I mean, it would be more interesting if it wasn't imo, lots of options they can do down, but for marketing reasons, like how they whored the shit out of the Joker, he probably will be wheeled out again.
Batman Beyond or Helena Wayne, move on.
@uninspiredcup: That's a Raz Al gull logo and the Court of Owls logo so yes its definitely Batman.
Plots around these have revolved around his son.
They are also pretty loose with the series, doesn't strictly adhere to anything.

How about other heroes in the DC catalog? Batman has become the Marcia Brady of hero games. DC cut the crap and license other characters. AND NO this doesnt mean Clark Kent & Metropolis. Do something different already.
I'm down for a Court of the Owls storyline. Plus, I need a new Batman game to wash out the bad taste of Arkham Knight, and WB Montreal did alright with Origins.
Looooved Arkham Asylum, got pretty bored of Arkham City before it ended, then tried Knight years after and was bored after a few hours. Can't say I'm excited, but will keep an eye on this.
The only one I liked as well.
Given how WB is focused on villains with Birds of Prey and Joker movies, I wonder if this game will be following that theme. "Capture the Knight" seems to hint at that too.
@r-gamer: they and rocksteady just teasing over n over again. I'm pretty sure both have no idea what they are doing.
With regard to the absence of a game from the studio, we heard while back they were working on a Justice League game. I have no doubt they were, and given the lackluster reception of their movie efforts, I can only imagine they abandoned it since there wasn't a strong market tie-in.
@uninspiredcup: I think this will be the game when they introduce his son.
Plot wise, going by Arkham Knight, it suggests a replacement but keeps it deliberately vague. An illegitimate son battling for the cowl or some such would make sense.
But again, we are basically going with nothing here.
Usually fan speculation is more interesting than the reality.
Maybe it's a Joker game.. I mean there is a new Joker movie coming out and they are already talking sequels... so who knows.

Jokers dead brah. Also partially played him in Origins and Knight.
The sequence in Arkham Knight in particular, was sort of incredible. Not only did they finally use the Joker properly, they distilled the essence of the characters relationship to Batman perfectly. It's like what the Dark Knight was trying to do but far superior. Bolstered by the fact Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill have worked together for decades.

Just because he's dead now doesn't mean they can't go back to his beginning though... I mean.. that is before he was dead.. lol
I don't keep up with this stuff though, so probably not. Hell, they might have already done that. I was just guessing.

I want a Batman game that doesn't feel like an arcade brawler again. Where you're not fighting fifty people at once and the stealth isn't so context sensitive. Would never happen, though.
@WitIsWisdom: a real possibly could be scarecrow's fear poison. Scarecrow uses his fear venom on Batman and Batman starts to imagining the Joker.
Then, in the end they realease a Batman skin, Batman That Laughs.

I don't see why they wouldn't just tell a new version of Batman, like the other mediums always do.
@WitIsWisdom: that would be a cool shake up for the series. Managing your gang, taking out the competition a la penguin, scarecrow and expanding your territory as the joker. Lots of heroes in batman universes as bosses. With the endgame being getting batman to kill etc. Like an alternative bats universe.
