In the link is an article about the game and includes 3 gameplay videos.

Everything looks and sounds good, the mark and execute function may be looked at as a negative, but thankfully that is optional. The animation is what impresses me the most, it appears not much has been lost going to the Vita.

Assassin's Creed III: Liberation for PS Vita

Too bad this game comes out on the same date as AC3, it will most definitely get overlooked, it would have been better if it came out around October 1st giving people a taste of AC3 leading up to the release date. That would give people an excuse to buy the AC3:L Vita bundle as well, not too many people will buy AC3 and the AC3:L Vita bundle on the same day.

VIdeo game sequels are confusing. Assassins Creed III? Not actually the third game, it's really like the fifth or sixth.

Terrible idea to use the same time period. For us anyway. I'm sure the team is pretty psyched to get hand-me-down assets from AC III.

Looks ok, but will sadly get overshadowed by AC3.

It's not like it takes place in the same region, AC3 is set in New England, and AC3:L is set in New Orleans/Mexico. That will make for varied environments between the two, and not make the Vita version look worse like a direct port would.

They said it will have multiplayer, but it would be Vita specific...so I have no idea what is going to be. I was hoping for a deathmatch style multiplayer like the previous AC games, I don't think that will be the case though.

Not the kind of game/series that i'd want on a handheld, but it is one of my favorite series. So, I'd hope it turns out fine.

I didn't know Mexico was in it, but unless you're spending half your time there, it's still close enough to feel samey.

Replace her with Connor and you could convince me this was AC III PC on low settings.

I wonder if it matters which one you play first?

There is still the swamp or bayou to go to as well. I like that they are around the same time period, it's cool to see different perspectives from two characters that are way different than what we usually see in video games, in a setting we don't see too often. I think the games will be different enough to enjoy both, without feeling like you already played the other.

Hmm not sure, but I do know that Connor and Aveline will cross paths in Liberation, and if you have AC3 you can play as Connor for one mission in Liberation.
