As it is, the articles go far more in-depth than what you state. They clearly have an inkling of what they talk about, when they can strip a video-game scene down to minute detail.

Im one of the few fair people in this thread that actually tried to have a back and forth. Shot down some bad metro screens. Explained why they were bad, on a design standpoint. Reacted to those screens explaining why GoW is such a good looking game. Nobody questioned what i said.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider on X1X looks better than God of War on PS4. I own and play both.

You have to at least beat 2nd place for graphics until you can go after no. 1 (PC).

Also AC origins looks stunning at ultra, absolutely eats your cpu and gpu same for final fantasy with a 9900k and 1080 ti i sit at 75+ fps in towns, but god it looks so good and plays so smooth.

@Gatygun: Those are some gorgeous gifs, are you also using all the nvidia features for FF15? Your bottom gifs are frozen if that is what they are.

Final Fantasy looks amazing. Square never fails.

Yea everything on and 4k textures ( 4k textures actually increase foliage distance massively ) which makes things look a lot more better. Also nvidia game works are extremely underrated simple because it tanks the FPS but it visually adds a ton. Now we are a bit further with hardware it's doable to push it, it eats most of the v-ram on the card tho i saw 10.5gb v-ram usages at times.

To give you a idea, on high settings i sit at ~120 fps on average in the game, at ultra + 4k textures + nvidia stuff i dips down all the way to 64 at times. almost half the framerate with average of 82 and high average of ~90.

But it looks so good.

Yea the last pictures are straight up pictures, i made gifs yesterday but they failed. So just jonked pictures to give a idea how it looks. But the wild life / like 50 birds that look good fly around you in a massive foilage forest with all kinds of animals running around with really good looking textures / water / fog makes the game shine big time. Also extremely demanding game and needs a high end setup for it to shine. i sit in city's in that game around the 74 fps dips as lows with my gpu sitting at 70% usage so yea even a 9900k on 5ghz is bottlenecking hard and simple not fast enough to push it on high framerates. however its smooth as butter and i mostly sit at ~90 frames.

But at times when you walk from a cave into the open world it just looks like cgi almost. And brings me back to the times where games looked like total shit and visuals like this in a open world where just mind boggling. while we live that life now.

Also disabling lod, will make you look all the way to the end of the world really massive draw distance on ultra with high quality assets going forwards which really makes you feel like you walk into a living world.

I recently bought ac origin gold edition as it was on discount ( never really buy games at higher then 30 bucks and it needs to include everything, it was 27 with everything included now) ( still is on uplay ) so bought it. I love egyptian mythology and never really played AC games before, but after 30 hours of playing now, i freaking love it. can't wait to get to the god expansian part which i probably hit next week.

It's extremely well done world, water / wild life, quests, tomb exploring really makes it fantastic for me. I can rush things fast or take my time, it allows me to play the game how i want to play it.

I will continou my FF15 playthrough the moment i finish origin, but honestly maxed out those games they look absolutely fantastic.

@Gatygun: What resolution are you using for both FF15 and AC:O? I have a GTX 1080 so my performance isn't that far behind your 1080 ti. I don't have FF15 but I do have AC:O. Can I at least get 60fps max on 1440p?

There is currently no hardware that can push that at a stable 60 fps in any higher resolution then 1080p ( ff15 ). maybe just maybe a heavily oc'ed 2080 ti could do the job. but yea good luck with that one. DLSS is useless as it removes taa which makes the game look terrible.

However u could drop the settings to get stable fps and visual quality but u will have to compromise visual quality big time.

To give you a idea, my 1080 ti has lows of 44 fps in 1440p and that's oc'ed. At 1080p i got lows of 70. So with 1080p ur 1080 if oc'ed will probably have to deal with some framedrops here and there but other then that it will mostly sit at 60+ then. 1440p u will probably have a average of 45 fps with lows into the low 30's.

AC origin is all about CPU really, I have about 30% overhead on my GPU so that will make a 1080 run it at 60+ fps on 1080p if you got a good cpu without much issue's. 1440p not sure it will probably sit mostly below the 60 with maxed out settings. again have to compromise.

For over 3 pages you can't explain why i should make one, so figures indeed.

Pepsiman is still an undisputed graphics king, according to your own rules (which never mentioned making threads, writing books, or making AAA-budget movies about it).
