i heard that ms made about 1.8 billion dollars on their gaming division. how is that possible if nintendo with their ds and wii only made only 1.16 billion. Am i right about or wrong. Do educate me plsvirtuas

And nintendo dosen't have many game sellers right now.

Well the EDD made 1.9 billion revenue, but after costs they only profited 165 million. Next quarter the EDD will make even more money for obvious reasons and the division itself is probably on the verge of a continued profit from here on out. Microsoft doesnt make money off PC games...since PC devs dont have to pay royalties...this is why PC games are cheaper.

Not true. Entertainment division (which includes the Zune and it's services) made $165mil profit. Xbox is still a loss. Why does anyone care how much these companies profit? Nintendo making all that money just proves they're ripping us off for ancient hardware and low budget games.

Because the Wii released more crap games than the other consoles. Those unsold copies of shovelware on the shelves still costs Nintendo money.

Microsoft is more convervative. Crap shovelware, oh yes it has a few, but not the amount the Wii has.
