I absolutely loved the maps in Halo 3. I thought they were incredibly well designed and fun to play. To this day i still think The Pit and Guardian are some of the best MP maps ever. Laugh if you will, but i also thought Resident Evil 5 had great maps for MP even though they were ripped from campaing. On the other side, i think Halo: Reach has some of the worst, most uninspired boring looking maps ive ever come across. I actually stopped playing the game and just stuck with Halo 3 because I hated them so much. On the PS3 end, i really enjoyed the maps of Killzone 2, but i wasnt a big fan of the game itself. What are your faves/ least faves?
I hate the map in HALO 1 (It counts as next gen because of remake coming this year! :P) where its a big canyon with grass and there's two little bases on each side. It sucked
Crossfire in COD4, and many others from the same game. The recent COD maps don't even hold a candle to the COD4 maps, except Downpour.... that map sucked. And then there was that similar one in MW2.... I didn't play the game enough to remember the name, but I legitimately quit whenever that map came up.
Least fav maps: Halo Reach ( i agree with u..the maps su*k.. soo uninspiring and boring and they seem to look fairly similar to each other.. very bland designs...seriously i cant begin to describe how horrible these maps are..among the worst ive played in) Battlefield Bad company 2 (the only maps i liked were atacama desert and arica harbor, the others were boring imo) Cod Black Ops (dunno what to say...i just dont like any of them) most fav maps: User created LBP levels Uncharted 2 maps were very well designed and visually stimulating with some strategic spots Halo 3 - guardian is very fun , sandtrap is even more fun...and than there is snowbound which is extremely fun( i have an awesome video of this map on my fileshare) and i havnt played much of it..but it reminded me of blood gulch , valhalla cod 4 - all great mw2 - all great except rust and scrapyard socom 4
