Overall I've been viewing the game cautiously (especially since it looks so strange in comparsion with the other HD Tales game this gen), but the following trailers don't look half bad.

Gameplaywise, the battle system looks like a tales game. I'm not too familar with the series, but from what I understand it uses the same type of battle system as Graces, coming out for the PS3 next year (yes, the next Tales game will be released in Japan before we even get a port of a Wii one). There also appears to be an element in which you interact with your environment, although to a minor degree. Probably something FFXIII could have used to better mask it's linearity (although it did have lots of jumping).
The story seems like it's trying. The cutscenes appear to be more cinematic than what I've seen of previous Tales games, especially towards the end of the 2nd trailer.
I might have passed this up in the past, but hey - given the current JRPG library, ...why not Tales of Xillia?
