Get your hands bloody, try not to look sus, and clean up an intergalactic mess in this month's latest arrivals on Xbox Game Pass.

As the year draws to a close, a new selection of games will soon be added to the service across console, PC, and cloud. It also means that some games are being rotated out this month, but for now we'll focus on the latest additions.

On December 15, Among Us will be available as a cloud game, while the rest of the library will be updated on December 16. Highlights include the violent fisticuffs of Mortal Kombat 11, gritty space haulers dealing with a hostile mess in The Gunk, and PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay, because we could all do with a team of good puppers at this time of the year.

The Gunk is a particularly noteworthy title, as its one of the last big game releases of 2021 and comes from Image & Form, the studio behind the popular Steamworld series of games.

This month also has a few extra perks for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Halo Infinite players can enhance their multiplayer arsenal with the exclusive Pass Tense MA40 Assault Rifle coating, double-XP Boosts, and Challenge Swaps. Rogue Company, Gems of War, Vigor, and Super Animal Royal players can also check their games for some extra perks this month.

In case you're new to it, Xbox Game Pass is a subscription-based service that grants access to a wide library of games. Individual console and PC subscriptions are available for $10 per month each, or you can use a combined service called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription that also includes cloud gaming and Xbox Live Gold for $15 per month.

Just got my XSX a few weeks ago and am beginning to really enjoy Game Pass. The Gunk looks like something I definitely want to play. If you haven't played Firewatch yet - and you are okay with walking simulators - it's worth your time.

@Pedro: No. Still hesitant to pull the trigger. With my huge library of physical games I’m going to need the XSX anyway. As tempting as it is it’s still hard to justify getting both. All the XSS are gone now anyway.

Anyway, The Gunk is a brand new game from MS and it's the only game I been interested playing so PC+GP has been great. Thank you MS for supporting PC👌

Almost bought it on Steam sale but glad to know this is coming to Game Pass as I'm a fan of the Alien franchise.

man oh man, its just way too much lol. Theres a bunch of games I hope are getting proper attention, because sadly I haven't been able to play them. I wanted to play control, medium, cristales, hb1, evil within 1 and 2, it takes two, stardew valley, skate 1 and 2, the ascent and a bunch more. These have all been put on the backburner while I go through halo infinite and SMTV. Even forza is on the backburner, same with MSFS20.

Looking forward to playing The gunk. Not seeing anything else though.

yes...I didn't want to mention it, but its the sad truth. I love forza, but end of the day its a racing game, and I need to clear up the other games on my list lol. I'll make time for it this week though.

Firewatch is a must play, I personally will check out MK11

I wanna play the fake Mario Kart game. I love the gloud gaming feature so I can try potentially crap games without downloading them. I've found a couple of diamonds in the rough this way. I never end up downloading them and just continue playing them in the cloud.

Lake I tried the demo and enjoyed the relaxing mood. Basically you deliver mail in a small lakeside town. I'm just hoping the performance and some visuals oddities are improved.

The Gunk I'm very curious coming from developers with experience and going for a more ambitious project.

The Gunk releases tomorrow and I haven't really followed but it looks like it could be interesting.

The GamePass domination continues. Sony is getting further in the rear view mirror. I am super stoked that I went from the ps4 to the Series S! Best gaming decision I have made in a long time.

I never thought I would say this, but that is TOO MANY quality games. Personally Xbox needs to slow down on releasing so many quality games to give people an opportunity to play all these great games before they work they way down the library list of games that nobody scroll down to.

On a sad note Aliens Fireteam Elite went from being playable to unplayable, probably because of the recent update. And this sucks because the game was functional just lacked an online presence and now that there should be more people to play with (because it's on Game Pass) I can"t because the update bricked the game.

Down month for gamepass I guess.

The Gunk is a very short game. Completed it in 3:36 hours.

I noticed that, I wasn't expecting that one. Pleasantly surprised.

It's okay, Sony has come out with a counter... Coloured PS5 plates for the hardware. XD

That'll tide them over till February.
