More Than 100,000 People Have Registered For The Halo Infinite Beta - GameSpot

'Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries is seeing a lot of interest in the upcoming Halo Infinite multiplayer beta. Community director Brian Jarrard said on Twitter that more than six figures worth of people--so, 100,000 people or more--have signed up for the upcoming preview.

Jarrard and others from 343 have been tweeting semi-regularly about the upcoming Halo Infinite beta, or flight. The reason they're being so persistent is that, despite the massive number of sign-ups, a lot of people have not completed all the required steps to get invited.'

Neither does HFW. Anyway, nope I didn't registered for the beta.

I honestly expected more given that it's Halo but beta sign ups don't really matter. The game is guaranteed to sell well... unless they announce it as being on gamepass day one.

The release date is coming. They are trying to find the best time to release it. It's a crowded fall/winter. Word is Phil is waiting for Activision to blink first with COD and then he will choose a date from there. Smart business move. There is a 0% chance this game is delayed again. None. Nada. It's not gonna happen.

All MS 1st party games are day one GP.

After checking my Halo Waypoint account, I appear to be ready to go. We'll see if they select me to actually take part in it. Hope so!

I'm still buying both Halo: Infinite & FH5 on Steam just to add to my gaming library and so I can play them both at anytime vs limited time. Either way, I'm gonna have fun!!!

Halo MP (which this is referring to) is free to play. You do not need to own Halo Infinite to play Halo MP. Halo Infinite (campaign) will be day one on GP.

Here's the thing. With roughly 30 million GP subs, Halo: Infinite will launch having at least a day one potential sales/user base of more than 30 million units. :O

True. I'd say the better flex is the fact that Sony doesn't even have anything to go up against Halo. Just no answer. The last time they tried (Haze), it didn't end well.

Haze wasn't even made by a Sony developer, it was published and developed by Ubisoft.

You could try Killzone or Resistance. Resistance was the closest thing to compete with Halo.

The cow jelly is so sweet... probably good on toast, too.

But Haze was also hyped as a Sony exclusive Halo killer. Maybe even the most hyped out of those, at least in my memory. Or maybe Killzone was more hyped. In any case, that's three FPS exclusives that didn't hold up to the hype.

Clearly Gamespot can't read. Brian said 100,000+ people have not signed up properly.

Truth is we have six figures worth of people who "signed up" but didn't complete all the required steps. Legit makes me sad knowing they'll miss the opportunity.

The number of sign ups could be in the hundreds of thousands or even millions.

CowSpot, haha. What a nice catch though. Well...that just ruined Cows day. I thought those numbers seemed a little low but then again, I don't know how many people sign up for closed/invitation beta testing.

When i see this kind of articles, all it tells me is that lems have been starving to play ANYTHING at this point. Nice strats on MS part, tho. Starve your playerbase for a very long time, create an abomination and they'll have no choice but to like it. Nintendo just did it with Zelda SS, so why not MS?

If Halo MP sucks, people won't play it. They'll have several other brand new FPS to play that are releasing at the same time. There will not be a mandate to play Halo MP if it doesn't live up to expectations.

They haven't been advertising the beta other than a few mentions on Twitter. And most people don't even know about Halo Insider in order to sign up. But once people see streamers playing it, the hype will begin.
