Imagine Nintendo doing this for Pokemon! If Stars is rumored to come to the Switch, I'd imagine they support cross-play w/the 3DS for trading and probably battling.

True, but if Switches are hard to find, then making 3DS versions would be another option yet can still cross-play w/Switch gamers via online.

The one two of Splatoon and MH. Switches first year is the greatest of any console release.

Don't count out ARMS and Odyssey. I heard extremely positive impressions of ARMS... If it's really good I can see it get bigger than Splatoon. Gonna try it myself today.

Hopefully they release this one in the West.

Cross play sounds cool, but not over local, only online, is lame. And I was hoping for more than just a touched up 3DS port. But I'll take it. It's better than no MH at all.

Straight 3DS port?..I will wait to see how ugly it looks on big screen..IF too ugly I'll just wait for a proper Monster Hunter game for Switchy...sounds like Capcom just being lazy if its just direct port with no visual improvements. :P

Did you see the trailer and updated the youtube settings to 1080p? It's a lot cleaner than the 3DS version, and is confirmed to be 1080p docked. It looks more like Monster Hunter 3G on the Wii U

lol I wish I could...I cannot get any faster plan...nbn (which is supposedly our fast broadband internet *the gimp version) hasn't even started rolling out in the suburb I am in..it will mostlikely be in 2020 ..lol..in Australia ...first world country with a 3rd world internet services..heck some 3rd world countries have better internet services..I should say ancient internet services.

Pretty cool. Unfortunately I played a little bit of MH3U on the WiiU and found its not really my style. I didn't go too far (A little bit past killing Lagi the first time) but its a little too slow and has quite a bit of resource gathering.

Maybe someday I'll feel like playing MH again. I've heard it is one of those games you kind of have to invest in to really like it.
