Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate coming to NA, year too late after World

Well, after a year of release, XX is coming to the west. How will this be after World's popularity?

YESSSS!!!

It will do fine, since it's the only MH game on the Switch in the west.

It will sell well on Switch, especially in Japan. Monster Hunting fits perfectly for hand held gaming and the Switch has nothing to compete with it.

And the timing is perfect for people like me waiting for MH5 on PC in the Fall. If anything, MH5 expanded the series popularity and this should benefit for it. The flipside, now I have to get Switch Online, which I was looking forward to spitefully avoiding for killing the VC.

It'll sell well enough. Maybe not as well as MHW, but it's gonna sell. I'm still waiting on MHW for PC and I still might grab this to, to have a portable MH game which is always nice if you ask me :)

@enzyme36: it already came out in Japan. This is the 3DS port XX which came out on the Switch last August. I guess I'm afraid it maybe $60 but I hope I'm wrong since it should be at least $30-40

Probably right around the time of World's PC release, so i'llgrab both for sure.

While I am loving Monster Hunter World right now and prefer many of the things that it changed from the previous games I’ll still pick this up for the Switch because I do still enjoy the earlier games as well.

This is good news. Monster Hunter World existing doesn't suddenly make the old games bad.

I love 4 Ultimate but I disliked generations so i'm not hyped about this.

Call me crazy, but I don't think two games from the same franchise and from the same developer are actually competing against each other.

@SolidGame_basic: Honestly, I'd rather play the portable version.

Monster Hunter World is my least played MH game. I played the hell out of the 3DS ones, mainly because I could play them anywhere I liked in short bursts. MHW doesn't even have an in-built pause button, and it was annoying being chained to my couch for any lengthy play sessions.

Straight 3DS port..or is there upgrade?..

If someone got into MH:World it could be a fun way to see where the series came from. You'll be experienced enough to get through it, but it's much less forgiving.
