Awesome because TBH I would have never even thought to buy it so this gives me a chance to try it out.

Last BB game I think I played was "Triple Play" on PS1, I think. When my son was just a little tike we would wake up on weekend mornings and have a great time playing it. We both recall those days having fond memories.

That is funny, especially since it being developed by Sony. 🤭

All I know is, in the past, Lems and Herms downplayed MLB The Show when it was only on Playstation. Now they're pretending to be excited about renting it 😆

Xbox: haha I get the game for free while PlayStation gamers have to pay $70

Logically:

Microsoft compensated Sony somehow with this deal, so it works out for them. The game will most likely be rotated out after 2-3 months where you'll have to buy it.

Then the system war logic after that:

Xbox: whatever I got my $70 dollar worth during 2-3months(keeps secret that they purchased the game after cause they can't support Sony).

Playstation: HAHA MS just helped Sony cover development costs and is using the money for creating new ip......

Oh and I hate Baseball in general, so MLB doesn't do it for me but for those who love it, hope everyone enjoys it.

I tried the beta on the XSX and I didn't like it. Even though it will cost me nothing extra I probably wont play it

Amazing. Game is $70 on PS5.

Along with Outriders, that's two $70 games this month that PlayStation users have to pay for and Xbox Game Pass users get included on day 1.

@girlusocrazy: The Show being on Game Pass is a win for PlayStation AND Xbox. PlayStation got cut a check, AND they’ll make more micro-transaction money. Xbox is getting the best MLB game, and they’ve spent $0 developing it. And the MLB are the ones that forced the game multiplat, so PlayStation didn’t really have a choice. I’m sure this’ll be a positive thing for their financials. It is kinda funny that a PS studio is making a game that’ll be on Xbox and it’s part of their subscription service. This is some twilight zone type stuff. But both parties stand to gain with this one.

Baseball isn’t really my thing but it’s really quite something that this game is hitting Game Pass day one. Pretty impressive actually.

It should be noted MLB is actually the publisher of Xbox versions of MLB: The Show, so it's not like Sony and MS made a deal to bring this to Game Pass. I wonder when Sony learned that their game would launch on GP? With Outrider, Narita Boy, and now MLB: The Show, GP is slowly coming out of "underrated" status. I'm impress how far GP has come.
