What i mean by that is that they now have 23 (hence the MJ reference lol) studios, and can now churn out 6 games a year every year, and every dev would still have a 4 year development cycle on new games, so there is no need to rush games out the door.

This is something MS has had to fix, the time frame between games.

That and they also pay third party devs to make games (MSFS and Gears Tactics) so this should be a non issue from now on.

The only issue i see slowing them down is cows begging for games lol.

Now MS should be able to at least push out 5 games a year, where as Sony will be lucky if they can push out 2 first party titles, and Sony's problem is that most of the games will be third person action/adventure games, so little variety.

4yrs is plenty, using 343 as the rule here is stupid, lets forget as teams like Playground, Turn 10, Coalition have all put out quality titles and at least 3 titles each this generation, in fact far more than any Sony dev, with some only producing 1 game lol.

It’s a wait and see game. Not all of those 6 can be AA-AAA games. I doubt that cost is sustainable with the Gamepass model currently. Once more people are subbed then I’m guessing we’ll see more.

@i_p_daily: we need to know what MS plans with the studios are they still going to keep releasing Bethesda games on PS5 and nintendo ? They have not said no they can easily say they will only release it on PC and xbox. Is it going to be same deal like minecraft think about that for a second? MS focus is gamepass are day going to release Bethesda games 1st day on gamepass remember those games cost millions or does it make more sense for them to release it on gamepass give subscribers their moneys worth and more appalling and release it on ps5 and Nintendo for more profits?

Heavy hitters like fallout or oblivion sell millions on PlayStation more than they sell on Xbox i believe, so that would make no sense Not to release them on Sonys consoles remember AAA games cost a lot 100-200 millions, i can see timed exclusive until MS comes out and makes a clearer statement its all guessing games What that means they could have said no but they did not just imagine if they made minecraft exclusive to xbox or pc how many sales they would loose

right its more money for xbox in the long run because the game will be free on gamepass day one making ps5 owners buy the game which will go in xbox pockets.

so for pc and consoles being on gamepass day one looks better than the competition.
