I honestly don’t see how 3rd parties stay a part of Game Pass. The revenue vs retail already doesn’t make sense. Now Microsoft is giving anyone who buys some pop tarts their top tier membership... Then those new members who do decide to pay Microsoft can do so for $1... For 3 months. (And even longer if they go grocery shopping)

This is a big gamble on Phil’s part. He’s putting all his chips on the table with Game Pass. But if he can’t retain a membership base, things are gonna turn south REAL fast. But I better not hear a single Lem hyping Game Pass numbers in the next few months. Those numbers aren’t real

If gaming companies used healthy food to sell their products, would their products sell? Perhaps not, as the use of junk food sells.

We can't trust there numbers for gamepass anymore. Too many freebies and $1 promotion we just can't trust them anymore.

@Archangel3371: Like every other Xbox promo, you can stack the codes. It says so in the FAQ. Every box of pop tarts and cheez it’s, can of pringles or box of rice krispies treats is a 14 day code.

@judaspete: As a gamer/consumer this is a good thing. But folks get on this board and hype the Game Pass player base as a sign of popularity and success for the Xbox brand. This is nothing more than a Hail Mary. An act of desperation to get a userbase in hopes they can retain a fraction for the long term. Xbox NEEDS for Game Pass to catch on, or those blank checks they’ve been writing to devs will start to bounce. And that would be disastrous for gamers/consumers.

Going to be honest, and please don't take this the wrong way, but... I'm not 100% convinced subscription figure bragging rights on SW are that important to MS. Especially as they already appear to have this one in the bag.

But I don’t understand why some gamers would try to put something like GP down just because they hate l, Xbox or MS, I mean, I hate Apple, but I don’t waste my energy talking bad about them or searching the web or social media to find anything negative about them just to create a post about it.
