Microsoft admits PS5 is better than Xbox

On the social media post, Microsft started the tweet by making sure everyone knew it was aimed at people in the account's replies that always posted "the PS5 is better." The official Xbox account then went on to state that the best console is the one gamers prefer playing.

Since all the comments seem to be from people who prefer playing the PS5 this means Microsoft has conceded that the PS5 is indeed the better console.

I think MS is just trying to say for those who made comments about how some preferred the PS5 over the XSX, just keep on enjoying the console you’d prefer?

Looks like the ones commenting in the Xbox section know what they're talking about. It is pretty clear, tho. Gamers chose the PS5 over the Xbox and of course the Switch (a secondary system 100% of the time). Better chance next gen.

Microsoft keeps owning hateboys and using them for their own marketing to shift public perception.

It's been an interesting strategy by them lately. Whoever runs their social media deserves a raise for how it turns internet toxicity into pro Xbox viral marketing campaigns.

At the moment I'm enjoying the playstation more but when halo and Forza are release I'll jump back into Xbox. I've never understood fanboys fighting for billion doller companies just enjoy your preference.

I do not enjoy using consoles. Well at least the PS5 and XSX have halfway decent specs this gen. They are tolerable.

If you read this tweet and think Xbox is saying that PS5 is better, then you have reading comprehension problems. They're saying that there are no system wars, wherever you like to game is the best for you. If you primarily play mobile, and enjoy mobile the most, and that's the best for you, then that's the best. But that's no fun to talk like that, we like system wars around here.

The PS5 and Switch are dominating overall sales (can't really count Switch though since they've had a several year start, they're a last gen system). However, the truth is Xbox is the most consumer friendly of them all, and no one can deny it. Xbox will never sell well in certain markets, so that impacts sales. But with Game Pass, most powerful console, buying up many developers, talking about getting rid of Gold and making online totally free (only charging for GP), the backwards compatible catalog, their PC efforts, All Access plan, offering a lower priced entry console, even little things like their controllers being cross-gen, it can't be denied that they're trying to do a lot to appease current owners and bring new owners on board. The only thing missing is a must have hit. If Halo and FH5 end up being must have hits, that's gonna shuffle the deck. Expect to see a shake up in sales. If Halo sucks, it's gonna be a massive disappoint for Xbox.
