If it was owned by Sony, a shooter with exploration of alien anvironment would've never been neglected to begin with. This thing would be as big as GoW lmao. Easily a system seller. That question was already answered months ago. Nintendo has been starving their fans for so damn long, that anything coming out is a must buy at this point. This is how you sell a series that hasn't been doing well on your systems. Just starve your playerbase for games. Ez pz.

These few old games are the only titles available on the system. If you own the Switch, you're forced to buy em. But that has nothing to do with what i was saying. Who is talking about these titles? They sell to those who own their Switch as their main system aka non gamers. But nobody is ever mentioning these games in a gaming related conversation because its the same tired ass franchises that you enjoy for 5 hours and then leave it collect dust on a shelf.

Then you click at your actual image, and you see its texture work being inferior to Gears of War 1 from 2006. Hell, even Perfect Dark Zero AND Kameo, launch titles on the 360, have better textures.

Never talk about visuals when its Switch related or you will get clapped. The Switch cannot produce textures, quality lighting, reflections, shadows, aa, af, draw distance or even frame rate over 30fps. As a mobile gamer, you're not supposed to care about what makes a video game a video game. You must close your eyes and pretend that nothing outside of partability is important.

By that logic, shouldn't Returnal and Ratchet & Clank have sold through the roof?

I mean, the Playstation brand is in a terrible drought, so you'd think Sony fans would jump at the chance to finally play something.

Sell to whom? Nobody owns the system. A good example to this is the demon's souls remake pvp community. With every new Soulsborne entry, there's a boatload of players doing pvp at meta levels for at least a year (in the dark souls 3 case, its been popular for years). How do you think its been in Demon's Remake? I will tell you, since i played it for hundreds of hours. Late night invasions after 11pm were almost impossible from week one. About two months after launch, you can forget about invading after midnight, its completely impossible to pvp. Now, even during the day, its completely dead. Nobody at meta levels, and you're only rarely invading at low levels, very often the same player, even when playing during the weekends. Its completely dead even tho Demon's remake has by far the best net code for pvp.


And you can never put a sony system in the same bucket the Switch/a Nintendo system is in. Sony has access to so many third party titles, that all their owners have a massive choice of games. By having this much choice, somebody might just say "f it, i'll just play Warzone instead of getting Returnal", which wouldn't even be possible on the Switch because Warzone is not even a thing on that system, and this applies to so many titles.

Well what else are the Switch kiddies going to buy?

Well yeah, the Switch is already 5 years old, all the good shit has been release already and Metroid Dread isn't the only Switch game releasing, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl remasters are also releasing November 2021 after Dread.

I will say this, it's about time Nintendo announced a new next-gen console at this point.

Oh but we're not yet there, and we're years away from it coming out🙃

The Pokémon games were officially announced in February. Do you think GameStop and other retailers weren’t taking preorders during the four months until June? This is like “Men in Black: International“ boasting about beating “Avengers: Endgame” at the box office without mentioning that the former is brand new and the latter in its 10th week of release.

Not kids, but certainly teenagers. Samus trying to be all edgy is just cringe. My best guess is that its aiming at the 14yo demographic.

Another example of everything sells on the switch. Metroid historically never usually sells well.
