Metro is not my favorite FPS, to be honest, but I have to agree, graphics are cool

More FPS is always good thing. we have more third person action cinematics games nowadays.

Agreed, it's a lame trend. Currently every game wants to either be Uncharted, or PUBG.

Last gen we had it worse though, where every game tried to be a grey-brown COD clone, and failing at it.

Except that mode looks bloody terrible.

I've just grown used to the shooting in games like Insurgency, Rising Storm and Killing Floor. Even DOOM and Wolfenstein have excellent gun play, it makes a lot of other shooters seem like pea chooters.

Lets take an example. GTA is most boring franchise on earth. yet it always recieve 10/10 despite having mediocre driving, mediocre shooting, terrible story.

remove rockstar logo and it wont receive more than 7.

As for GTA, reviewers might be wrong, but GTA V has managed to sell more than 90 million copies since it was launched and is always charting on top 10.

So you've played the game to know if the story, characters, game design, etc... are GOAT? Nope. You are basing it on the graphics, which to be honest are amazing but not groundbreaking.

GTA sell 90 millions because its a brand name. even non gamers know what is GTA and they even play it. when ask non gamers what is Deus Ex. they cant reply it back.

in order to develop taste in games. you need to love mediocre shallow console cinematic QTE games? and boring open world games with side quest??

yeah no thanks. I rather play deep and complex games with good level design and gameplay mechanics.

Lol stop trashing GTA. GTA is the best franchise on earth. It's the most enjoyable franchise on earth that.(And it's pretty easy to enjoy every GTA game)

based on 2033 and last light. they were amazing games and this game looks even better.

That will be the best AC game ever made. Even better than AC:Doom.

Anyway, I'll will probably be an excellent game.

GTA is not rockstar best game. its Max Payne 3 by land sight. especially when it comes to shooting and mechanics. it just show rockstar have incredible talent but they waste on same boring open world formula because it sell millions.

Although RDR is also good. but Max payne 3 is amazing.

Did not like 2033 at all... but Last Light was an improved game all around, with much better pacing. This game looks great, and if they open up the world a bit like it appears to be in all the promos Ive seen, Exodus could be a great game.

It's cute that ReCloud asks for proof but he never provides any for his claims

the last two games were very short (10 hours or so). I would wait for a discount on this one.

@ghosts4ever: Max Payne 3 isn't that good. You can't skip cutscenes, his movements is too slow , you may get hit the walls while dodging(Which can get annoying) and it's story had continuity issues with MP 1 & 2. The game also encouraged you to use higher ground dodging much more than on normal groun. (Stranglehold was a better game imo)

And I don't know why you consider the open world in GTA to be "boring". you haven't ever played a boring open world game on your life.(Because GTA has always been the king of open world games)

This and Resident Evil 2 are my most anticipated games for next year. Ive been on a Metro binge lately and reading the novels. Such a great and underrated series.

Metro series offer atmosphere that no other game does. if anything it resemble STALKER.

STALKER in my opinion is one of the worst gaming experiences I have ever had, I literally threw it in the garbage

looks great. probably my most anticipated game after RDR2.

and since some people are discussing Exodus versus TLOU 2...

i'll mention that Last Light and TLOU 1 both came out in the same year, and I found Last Light to be the better of the two by some margin on pretty much every front apart from maybe story (though LL had a pretty good story, the characters in TLOU were obviously much more fleshed out and better developed to it was easier to get invested).

Gameplay Demo. Looks Absolutely Amazing.

"so many different methods of approaching different situations..." is the hallmark of some of my favourite games.

but you do start to question the legitimacy of that when the guy says in the demo video we see "a stealthy approach" and it's actually just someone taking one guy out stealthily then lobbing grenades and getting the shotgun out.

but regardless it's looking promising. i get much more of a stalker vibe from it than metro, which is definitely a good thing as far as i'm concerned. i'm not going to reach in my pants and start furiously masturbating every time i hear it mentioned like the op but i'm looking forward to it and will keep an eye out for it, maybe two
