im hyped at around 10/10

I’m very hyped for this myself. Definitely picking up the Xbox One version and will probably also get the Switch version for the portability factor.

Tempted for Switch. Own the originals though and I have a Super NT.

Yeah I'm going to get this one. I'm a bit disappointed that Capcom decided not to release the physical copy in Europe though...

Already pre-order it on PS4 mainly because I'm all too familiar with the with the Mega Man X Collection on PS2 and so with that, the only reason why I'm buying it again is because I never played Mega Man X7/X8 that was on PS2. Totally hype and most of all, Mega Man X series is how I started the Mega Man series :)

I almost consider buying it on the Switch but at the same time, I rather play this game with a PS controller.

Back in January 2006, GS gave Mega Man X Collection a 7.3 from the PS2 review at the time. I'll go with a 7/10 assuming they'll go for the same results again.

It has new armor and challenges from what I understand; something like a double-bill boss rush.

You know, I haven't really look too deep into this new x Collection about the new content stuff. I kinda assume it's gonna be the same Collection from PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era only with X7/X8 included now.

@davillain-: Supposedly it has a new challenge mode with comes with its own new story?

I'm not sure what mechanics it works off or what bosses are in it but that sounds pretty interesting. ;)

I pre-ordered the PC version. Having all of the Mega Man games , especially the X series, on steam is something I've wanted for years, so I'm glad that this is finally happening (and hopefully with X9 soon to follow if it does well).

I am disappointed though that they changed the names of the X5 Mavericks, because I liked the Guns N' Roses ones. RIP Duff McWhalen. :(

@Renegade_Fury: Plus Megaman 11 is coming up too and that game looks excellent.

@jumpaction: Yeah, I am quite excited for it too. It just sucks that it comes out on the same day as does Fist of the North Star, so I don't know which game that I'm going to play first.

@Renegade_Fury: I usually juggle two or three games at the same time. I won't be picking up Fist of the North Star though. I've never seen the anime or read the manga. It does look like my kind of thing, though. It's just a lack of time. :(

Megaman 11 is shaping up really nicely though. Fingers crossed it delivers. It would be great if the blue bomber became a regular again.

@jumpaction: I've only watched some of the anime, but you don't need to have seen any of it to enjoy Lost Paradise because it goes in a different direction from the main story. The game is basically just Yakuza with a different skin.

I'm hoping MM11 and the X collection do well, because it'll also give Capcom the incentive to go back and continue all of the various series Mega Man series. Some of them like ZX2 and Legends 2 ended on cliffhangers, which sucked. Plus, they could always change the direction of some of the storylines, because at least I was never a fan of the elf war stuff.

@Renegade_Fury: There was a Legends 3 in development for 3DS that got cancelled.

I mean, Capcom are in a weird state right now but they've made some really good moves lately in getting SFV back on track, announcing RE2 Remake, Megaman 11 and collection and Monster Hunter. I'm becoming more confident in them.

@jumpaction: Yeah, and I remember reading how some people actually pre-ordered their 3DS solely for it. I could see it finally happening now though since Legends fans are still always asking for a new game.

Capcom is a lot more receptive to fan feedback these days than 6-7 years ago, so I trust them to do their IPs right. I hope Dark Stalkers and Power Stone are next up to receive revivals, or at least get new collections.

@Renegade_Fury: They could even just gauge interest by releasing these games on newer systems. I know they did a release of Dark Stalkers for PS3 and 360, right?

I've never played a Mega Man X game, only the originals and the isometric view games from back in the day. I may have to check this collection out.

@jumpaction: I hope not, lol. Nobody bought Dark Stalkers Resurrection except for diehards. It's a shame too, because they had put the same amount of effort and quality into it as they did for Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition. I tried to show it to my brother since he recently got into Dark Stalkers, but when we tried going online, it was absolutely dead. If they bring back other IPs, I hope they just kind of do it without a test, or at least if they do one, it generates more public awareness, like guest characters within Street Fighter.

How did SF 30th do?

@jumpaction: I haven't checked sales, but from reading Steam reviews I know that the reception is mixed since they're just barebone 1.0 arcade ports. All of the balances and cool extra modes like in Dark Stalkers Resurrection and SF3 on the 360 are absent, so it doesn't seem worth a buy, at least for $40. If Capcom is listening though, maybe they'll address some of the complaints with patches.

What? Both games won't be on disc? Or is this "feature" switch exclusive? Either way it's a mess.

@Renegade_Fury: Who knows? They can generally be quite good when it comes to post-release support for their games. There's hope yet. :)

I thought i saw this on eshop weeks ago?

I was not initially going to get them, but while tired and browsing through the store, I saw the combo pack and great art......remembered how I loved those games when I was younger, and several of them I never played.....I figured what the hell why not, good to have them considering I am a huge supporter of 2D games.

I'll say though, with all those X's, too bad they are not "X-Enhanced", would have added a nice level of crispiness to the graphics.

I can't be hyped about this anymore, they messed it up for me

- They split the collection into two separate games, which there is no excuse for, even if we assume a blu-ray disk can't hold all games together (which it totally can) whats the reason for spiting the games in the digital stores? yeah no thanks

- Megaman X3 will be the SNES version and not the (CLEARLY SUPERIOR) PSX/Saturn/PC version, and nore will there be an option for it either, I HATE the SNES version!

- Megaman X Command Mission is not in there, so not much of a collection is it?

I see no reason to get this when I have the Megaman X Collection for the Gamecube, sure I may be missing X7 (which was a TERRIBLE game), X8 and X Command Mission are not there but i can remedy that with emulation (WITH the graphical enhancements of the Legacy Collection) if need be. If capcom can patch these issues for me then they'll definitely have my money, but right now thats not happening.

A couple things bring down my hype level.
I've played most of these games before(but including X8 and Challenge mode + a bit)
The system I'd like to have it on, it's half digital-only.
No Command Mission or the two Xtreme games.

I'm definitely going to get both of these games. I love Megaman X1-X4. The second collection is certainly weaker, but eh, I'm still interested. Megaman X5 isn't as good as previous games, but is still "okay", Megaman X6 is a mess and frustrating as hell. Haven't played 7 or 8, though 8 I think has gotten generally favorable reception, and I'm...curious about Megaman X7...

Never played a Mega Man game and won't be starting now. Enjoy the game guys/girls.

Damn it Capcom...

When Activision is able to port down a collection of HD remakes of PS1 games from PS4 to a Switch cartridge, you know they dun f***ed it up. I'm of the opinion Capcom hates Nintendo and their fans, the same fans that gave Mega Man life to begin with. Then again, the Street Fighter Collection on Switch didn't do this either.

That, and the era of the compilation has to be dead, especially when the best ones came from MS and Activision.

I got done playing the first Mega-Man collection on XB1 via Game Pass, playing second one next, probably won't touch these new ones for a while, but hopefully they are added to Game Pass in future.

:\ I so far just beat x1 gonna work on x2 and x4 tonight. Trying to get the platinum trophy so I got it for ps4. Miss the SNES controller the dual shock 4 just can't compete very well with it

interface looks a lot like street fighter 5 i prefer MCC so far over this as a collection but its not too bad feels a bit cheaper tho this is 40 and that was 60 at launch.

@ProtossRushX: Not sure if you heard this rumor but I think it's worth mentioning it here since this is a MMX thread related: Capcom could be hinting at a possible Mega Man X9 Never thought I see a possible Mega Man X9 being a thing.
