as for hardware, a massacre. ps4 sales didnt increase AT ALL. very bad news for sony (in japan).

Actually the current price of the PS4 and the Switch isnt far off from one another. Also, its easy for sheep to say that the Switch is selling at the pace the PS4 was in its first two years while completely ignoring that the PS4 was also $100 more expensive than the switch has been AND with already two of its biggest IPs released... you all seem to remember what fits you the most, uh?

Because the Wii is the last home console that sold above 10 million units in Japan. PS3 didn't make 10 million units, and now the PS4 is struggling to hit the mark. The Switch will easily surpass it.
