It´s good for Nintendo that they sell a fair number of consoles, but they are not really dominating when they are only slightly better in Japan, but are outsold on every other market by a fair margin.

Look at the huge bump in Xbox sells.

By the end of 2017, 73.6million Ps4 had been sold.

So at this point, we are closer to 80mill.

And at the end of 2018 Sony will hit around 83-85mill mark considering there is still an RDR 2 release coming.

difference between uk and japan is thate we get actual sales numbers in japan.

switch has sold 5 million consoles in about 1 year. wiiu sold 13M world wide lifetime. switch could end up selling more than that in japan alone.
