Nope, looking at that chart and Japan preferring mobile devices over consoles, Switch will catch up and outsell the PS4.

I don't think that Switch can sell 2.5-3+ million in Japan in the first 4-6 months of the year. Keep in mind that PS4 is a moving target and it's getting Monster Hunter in January.

The franchise did became very popular when it was released on the PSP. Without Monster Hunter, the PSP would have not have sold as many units.

I know that it has, but the franchise sells better as a handheld title than a console title. Monster Hunter 3G on the 3DS sold better than the vanilla Wii version, heck gave Capcom the idea to move Monster Hunter 4 to the 3DS exclusively over the Wii U. We will see how World will do, especially on a dead month. Japan will be interesting to watch.
