The Switch is such a dominant force in Japan its ridiculous.

It's a pretty dry year so far. Most big games are releasing in summer.

That's to be expected. I assume everyone in Japan already owns a Switch or just waiting for a really good exclusive just to buy the damn console despite Breath of the Wild & Super Mario: Odyssey are mega hits exclusive. I'm gonna go with everyone owns a Switch in Japan and the console is already a year old as it is.

Nintendo should make a labo superhero kit. You can transform into Super Mario! :)

The fact that Someone Has Actually Recreated A 1980's Game & Watch Classic Using Nintendo Labo is effing crazy!

This has me taking a second look at Labo now (which I previously had no interest in what-so-ever).

Sup? Hope you're around for the thread sometime today about Nintendo's FY2017 results. You're probably gonna fall out of your chair when you see the FY2018 projections, especially software.

Switch does have a Monster Hunter in Japan.

I think a new Dragon Quest or some shit would spark more interest over there than a port of World.

Pokemon is bigger than both of those though, and Animal Crossing is pretty comparable. Switch most likely isn't getting a new Monster Hunter ever, and DQ11 is gonna flop hard on Switch, but I think it'll be fine in the end. I noted the decline, but I don't expect it to last. Sadly though, I also don't expect Switch to meet 3DS numbers in Japan. It'll absolutely decimate 3DS everywhere else of course, but Japan is looking like it won't be mind-blowing.
