Max Payne 20th Anniversary - One of the greatest game of all time.

So its been 20 years since this masterpeice released. Happy 20th anniversary to one of the greatest game of all time and still no third person game today surpassed this game from 2001 to 2021.

One of the most important game of all time. this game should get Remake/Reboot treatment instead of mediocre like Dead space which is not even that old. hopefully we either get Max payne 4 or Remake/Reboot in future. seem like they will be interested to make one if they get chance.

Amazing game one of my favorites of all time it absolutely deserves a remake from the ground up wish Rockstar would do it.

absolutely. its travesty that Dead space a 2008 game that was not even 0.001% of good as Max payne was getting pointless remake and Max payne series left to die.

Yea, i know about MP3, but always thought Remdy sourced it to them. Well, if its owned by Rockstar, then we can't expect shit until that cash cow gta online dies, and it won't die for another five plus years, which is sad.

I liked it in its time but I don't think I would enjoy it still. I would rather replay Max Payne 3 though, such a solid shooter.

For once I agree, but the franchise went to hell after the first two tbh. Third one was good, but nowhere near the other two!

Replayed them last month. Still great. Mona parts in 2 are whatever and any escort mission. 3 is good stuff, but too cinematic and dramatically written. The only humor was pretty much snark, while MP1 is straight up dark comedy. Missed that, but maybe it wouldn't work. Dunno.

Max Payne is still awesome to this day. Both Max Payne 1 and 2 are in my top third person shooters.

Ok franchise.

I want another Max Payne. Id love to see the original 2 games get remade and be more up to date like MP3. I would probably buy.

No, it’s a travesty that people who play games didn’t buy enough copies of “Max Payne 3” or “Spec Ops: The Line” to warrant sequels. It’s good business sense, not a travesty, that Take-Two isn’t throwing good money after what it views as bad.

Lol, awesome. I was 14 when it released, played it on a 333Mhz Pentium whatever and some shitty GPU, ran like shit to say the least, but I finished it. Those were the days.

The visuals hold up well. Most "realistic" games back then age like milk that was already sour.

Part of that is undoubtedly using comic book panels (featuring the staff) as opposed to trying to do cutscenes constantly.

But cup why you praise Tomb raider over Max payne?
