It’s clear then that the franchise is an important PlayStation mainstay- and it seems Sony feels that way too. At the recent Persona 5 Royal event, Sony spoke about Atlus’ series (via Game Watch), and mentioned that Persona isn’t only a series that is important to Atlus and Sega, but also to Sony and to PlayStation as a platform.

Not to mention Sony makes the anime for the series.

So don't hold your breath for a Switch verion, unless PSNow comes to Switch.

This just makes non-Gotham Joker's appearance all the more weird. At least with Cloud we GOT FFVII eventually.

This is sort of a bummer for those of us hoping for a mobile version, but really, just buy the damn game on PS4. That's what I have been doing and it hasn't been any different.

Also the onus is on Sony to make a good portable and actually support it this time. P4G was amazing on Vita and Vita only tanked because Sony didn't allow you to use your own memory cards.

@Ant_17: Just a few days ago, I saw the announcement of Persona 5 Scramble, I'm betting Scramble will come to Switch but we won't know for sure until October 24th. October 24th is a long ways away?

I followed the links, but I can't actually see any quote saying that Persona will remain exclusive to Playstation platforms.

I remember reading something a couple of days ago about this, where they just said that it's important for Persona games to be on the Playstation - but they never said anything about exclusivity.

Yeah, this. Obviously there's a sincere leaning toward PS from Atlus, but nothing states being PS locked.

Great idea. Keep it locked to the system whose company will end up censoring the game for being too anime weeb shit and too Japanese for sensitive Muricans. Aside from the PSP and Vita (which they did piss poor with, but it still had good games and was good hardware) Sony died after the Ps2.
