This was the best game shown. Agree yes?
Gears 5 was the best.
Not when Kait is the lead character lol. They really killed the 80s action dudebro vibe that made the series so fun before.

And yet Sony has so many female lead characters in their games.
Different kind of games though. Sony hasn't taken a long running male centric franchise and made the lead a female. Before you say Lost Legacy that was a spinoff. Just look at the boxart and tell me this doesn't scream pandering
@NathanDrakeSwag: No it's the same story going in a different path with one of the main characters. So it happens that she is a female that is all.
Sounds like a certain other franchise *cough* Last Jedi *cough*
Meh. Not really my kind of game. So far I found Gears of War 5 to be my favourite game shown so far.
No. both are not.
one boring space building simulator. other is yet another 2d indie crap we gotten from years and are dominating these shows.
People are crazy thinking Gears looked lame. I'm not even a huge fan, I only got into it this gen, but it blows my mind that people love Uncharted so much but hate Gears, when they are so similar. Also, Gears has never been just a guy game, and if pretending you played it and now won't cause Kait, then you're probably full of shit.
If anyone actually listened, half the story is about Kait, the other half is about the follow up to what happened in Gears 4. Maybe the story might be heavy Kait, but it's 3 player co-op with Del and Jack.

Probably just a fanboys vs fanboys thing. There are more PS than Xbox fans, and they're more vocal.
I'm excited there is an Orcs Must Die sequel and a Little Nightmares sequel.
Both come as real surprises. Nice, nice, nice!
A new Dungeon Defenders is coming as well, although it's not a surprise it's cool they are taking the game back to its roots.
Just came to the realization that there's a lot of guys around here with the mental age of a 8yo boy. Uh girls are yucky!
KSP2??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?? Where the hell did this come from, I had no idea?
One of my all-time favorite games. EVER! Which is saying a lot because I am absolutely terrible at it haha
Me after seeing the KSP2 trailer:
Everspace 2 looks dope as well, of course, and I can't wait to play it in VR (assuming they will port it to VR like Everspace 1 was).
I'm excited there is an Orcs Must Die sequell...
me too! I feel like it was a well-regarded series that sadly went under the radar of a lot of people :(
All I need now is another Overlord game and I think my comical fantasy genre will be set :D
Meh, No Man's Sky is better.
I just loaded it up after not playing it for a year. My god. What an incredible game it has turned into.
@uninspiredcup: Kerbal looks nice but I have no idea what kinda game that's supposed to be.
NASA simulator, basically. If it's anything like the first.
You take on assignments, research components, then build rockets, ships, airplanes, and so on. You start with a basic solid-fuel rocket and space capsule, barely getting into space and not even orbit. Then you're orbiting the earth, and pretty soon you're going to the moon. Next thing you know you're sending probes into space then landing on Pluto.
Oh and you're doing it all with what are essentially the Minions from Despicable Me :D
The trial and error is, ironically, the funnest part of the whole deal because when you fail, it's spectacularly failing. Rockets blowing up, or the rocket not being quite right.
It's not for everyone, you really need to be into astronomy and have a solid grasp of math, aerodynamics, and so forth, but if you are a nerd remotely interested in space and flight, the game is probably the best thing for you. I've learned so much for it.
Obviously I like the game hahaha.
Oh and it's made by Mexicans. Suck it, Trump.
@saltslasher: I think people are crazy for liking Uncharted. The fact that Gears is similar is why I dont wanna play it.
Honestly, gamecon is slowly but surely succeeding e3 as far as worthwhile games go to.
Apart from Death Stranding obviously - only fanbioy a moron would say that was a good showing.
Stuff like like this and little nightmares (which hopefully fixes the issues of the first one) do the buss.

Little Nightmares 2, KSP 2, Everspace 2 ..... the sequels we don't deserve.
Gaming is alive.
Honestly, there really can't be enough games about space imo haha, at least flying games.
All I need is Disney to announce a Tie Fighter reboot with a talented developer that's not EA owned and I will probably faint.
@mrbojangles25: That actually sounds extremely interesting.
Well if you want to look into it a bit more with a more technical lens, I recommend looking up some of Scott Manley videos.
He does a lot of space and science videos in general, but the bulk of it relates to space sims like KSP, Elite: Dangerous, and EVE Online and so forth.
He does a lot of wacky shit but then explains why something that seems paradoxical works, or why this wouldn't work, and so on.

Dude this is the first time I've been like giddy, inner-child-is-content excited for gaming in a long time.
E3 has seemed like one big advertisement and dutch-rudder session for a long time, gamecon is where it's at.

@mrbojangles25: Thanks for the recommendation. Think I should check out the first Kerbal or wait till the new one comes out?
Some other games that look good, or at least interesting:
Humankind: a TBS that looks like Civilization, but will hopefully do something a bit new or different. Really weird video but it's kind of cool and has some gameplay at the end.
Oh and it's by the brilliant, outstanding, incredible, and dare I say sexy (?) minds that brought us the "Endless" series of games (Endless Legend, Endless Space, Dungeon of the Endless).
Empire of Sin: A mobster tactics game by...John Romero? That can't be right, he makes mobile games for phones. No, it's John Romero. Well, odd pedigree aside, I would love a game with the style of Mafia and the gameplay of XCOM.
Mount and Blade 2: the first game was a diamond in the rough, incredible but also quirky. Can't wait to see them make the game it is meant to be with the sequel.
Planet Zoo:Frontier Developments, the brilliant minds that brought us Elite: Dangerous and Planet Coaster, are bring us a zoo management game. I fully expect to buy this, sit down around 5 PM one night, and find myself at 2 AM still playing it and not realizing so much time went by.

I don't imagine the first KSP is too expensive, so why not?
Be warned, however: the visuals are not amazing, in fact they are kind of low-tech, but imo they are endearing. I know that can turn a lot of people off, but the game itself is great.
